I totally like this guy in my class and today i gave him the impression that i had a boyfriend. and when he heard that i did, he was like 'NO YOU DONT, YOUR LYING' lol ya he was also smiling when he said that. so do you think he was jealous or something? ( and i really dont have a boyfriend lol)

Chelsea, I would look at this as "making light of an embarrassing moment". Don't read into it. I think you just caught the boy off guard. Why would he be jealous? You're not dating, the two of you don't even know each other yet. He was trying to save face, making a joke- after all, were there other kids around? How was he supposed to respond to a situation like that?
He thought you liked him and now you're playing games with him. Why are you playing games with a boy you say you "totally like"? are you trying to chase him away? It won't get you anywhere to test someone to see if they like you. Somewhere down the line, it's going to come around and you'll be the one with egg on your face.
and Dasha, Your comment is way too harsh and judgmental.
We're not talking about older "experienced guys" here. Sure, he is probably insecure, how old do you think this boy is? We're talking what Junior High? Honey! This dude is SOOO insecure! See, he got hurt by your reply. So he used a sef-defense by hurting YOU back. If he doesn't know how to handle such a polite answer as "i have a bf", forget about this loser. A normal experienced and smart guy, would say that he respects that and it's ok.
