When I ask simple questions people answer them in rude sarcastic ways. I just want an honest opinion, not for people to make me feel like an idiot. Also, this doesnt happen in other sections of answers, just this one. It upsets me and I would like other peoples opinions.

P.S.
For those of you that answer this question in a sarcastic, rude way, thank you for prooving my point.

You got it right you are in R & S section (rude and sarcastic). I know this it is very upsetting that there are so many hateful people out there and I am very sorry. When I read these uncalled for rude answers, I think that it is the answerer themselves that look like an idiot, not the asker. I still find it very shocking though to see what the world is coming to. There is not much you can do about it other than block them. Then they can't see your questions.

I think that some people on Yahoo! Answer's only try to degrade people is because they really don't have an answer at all, they have a very low self-esteem or they just want the points for answering the question the way they see fit.

Most of the time it's the want to feel superior intellectually and the rest is because of anonymity. Do not let it stop you from asking. Ignore those sad creatures that cannot criticize constructively and focus on the answers that are civil and polite.

Well to be honest so many actually set themselves up for it by asking truly bizarre or ignorant questions.

Perhaps its the way you are wording your questions that are inticing people to answer them sarcastically.

Im not sure, I don't recognize your pic or your name so I cant say for sure, but perhaps if you were to word your questions differently it might help.

But again, there are some real jerks in here too...I know, I can, if provoked, be one of them.

It's not just here; people act like that all over the Internet. It's not an uncommon thing, and unfortunately it's not something that's going away anytime soon. You just have to look past the jerks and trolls and focus on the people who try to help.

But you get SOME good answers! Not everybody is rude; they're just being smartasss in a good way! Don't take it personally. Some of the regulars here are just trying for the light-hearted slant. (Sometimes, unfortunately, they miss!)

Perhaps they consider this a "game" and don't take it as seriously as you do.

By the way, if someone DOES happen to respond to this question in a sarcastic manner, it does NOT prove a "tendency". It only proves that said respondent was sarcastic in his/her answer to YOUR question. It's entirely possible that they are entirely civil at all times save for this one.
