This is one of my favorite recipe:
Tofu with Mushrooms and Snow Peas
Ingredients:
1 large onion, cut in half lengthwise and sliced
3 cloves of garlic, minced
4 tsp ginger, minced
3/4 lb mushrooms, sliced
3/4 lb firm tofu, wrapped in paper towel for 15 minutes, sliced in 1/4" slices
5 tbl soy sauce (mushroom is best, reduced sodium if you worry about that)
2 tsp cornstarch dissolved in 4 tbl cold water
1 cup water
3/4 lb snow pea pods, strings removed
rice
Directions:
1. Cook onions in nonstick skillet with a little water until golden brown.
2. Add mushrooms and cook until they have released moisture and it has almost all evaporated.
3. Add garlic and ginger. Cook for 1 minute.
4. Add tofu, soy sauce, cornstarch mixture and water. Bring book to a boil.
5. Lower to a simmer for 5 minutes, turning tofu so that it cooks in sauce on all sides.
6. Add snow peas and cook until crisp tender.
7. The sauce is not thick. If you want a thicker sauce, use more cornstarch.
8. Serve over rice. With sufficient rice this should feed 4 easily.
Good luck :)

Two easy recipes:
1. Add cubed tofu to broth-soup to add substance to it without the added "heaviness" that beef, pork, or fowl would provide to it.
2. Using olive or sesame oil, fry 5-10mm thick slices of tofu until desired crispiness (sp?), then make a dipping sauce with soy sauce, sesame seeds and diced green onions; place fried tofu on a plate and dip it into sauce.

Wow that was funny dude... I just laughed so hard!! LOL I love steak too.. but I like to cube the tofu and put it in some miso soup. It's so good and miso has practically no caleries and lots of nutrients. You can buy the powder at the store and just mix it with water... instant miso.
