According to the maya calender this is supposed to be life changing. I don't think it will be the end of the world but maybe a changed world as we know. Supposedly their calender is very accurate. Just curious.

I think its facsinating and I'm really curious to find out IF and WHAT will happen.
Although, I have a hunch that its like what alot of people have already said 'the calender ends and its time to get a new one'.
However, they say the Maya calender is very accurate and can tell of good times and bad, but no one has actually translated that anything bad will happen in 2012, its just that the calender ends which I believe could even be the whole planetry cycle starts again - who knows, but to be honest, its so complicated that I really don't understand it well enough to comment on what it could or couldnt mean but I can't wait to find out.

all i can say is the end is near, but the Bible's prophecy has to be full filled first. i was watching the history channel the other night about Nostradamus predicting it to happen in 2012, but i would just keep my christian faith strong and never let your guard down, because nobody really knows so it pays to be ready and then you don't have to worry about it. i do know that the sun will be in line with the center of the universe in 2012 and this does only happen every 13 thousand years

I saw this on the History channel .The Earths sun. Andromeda's sun and the Earth are all in alignment on 12-20-2012 the End of Days interesting stuff.

it religion class, but my teacher said it wus a major add moment becuz it wus off the subject.

the calender ends, that is, we flip it over and start again at the beginning, no big deal
this corresponds to the end of the age of Pisces and the beginning of the age of Aquarius
its all fairly arbitrary.

This huge planet we live on will orbit around a giant star. A "seasonal" difference in climate will occur from place to place around the earth. Extremes in weather will occur. Life in vast abundance will continue to be sustained. How much bigger can it get?!
