I've been sick with mono and my doctor said I might have something wrong with my gallbladder but I have no pain. Have any of you had to have your gallbladder removed and never had pain?

If the gallbladder shuts down on it's own due to deterioration, you would not feel a thing. The people who have horrible pain associated with it have gall stones, which are deposits made inside the bladder, that sometimes get loose and get stuck in the tube.

If you are not satisfied with your doctor's diagnosis, please get a second opinion. also look online at many reputable health sites. You can get many questions answered there, but not a personal diagnosis.

I wish you the very best. My Daughter In Law has gallbladder disease, and has had gallstone pains three times this year. The rest of the time she feels nothing, but it is still diseased.
