more than likely it won't grow back but don't feel bad that is just a good thing that should make him all the more special and others tease those they are jealous of.

Lily: 1. She's my shadow. She follows me around constantly...even sits outside the bathroom door and waits for me to come out. 2. Loves traveling and exploring around new places. 3. Is very compact and small for her breed, most people who meet her think she's a puppy (she's a mini schnauzer) 4. She's a dark salt/pepper 5. She loves to relax. Star: 1. IS one of those mutts that got the best of both worlds, being an aussie/pit bull mix. She's loyal and will protect everyone in the family and and child, she's fast, incredibly fast learner, and got the good looks of both breeds. 2. She was from a litter at the shelter, and the last one available. 3. Can do a perfect heel. 4. Doesn't have the best vision as she's aging, but still very capable of living life to the fullest. 5. Will not take to being ignored. Me: 1. I'm a Mexican/French/English mix, and I was raised primarily with my hispanic family. I came out really white with red hair. Everyone's first impression when they see my mom is that I'm adopted. 2. I love Mountain Dew more than anyone. Can't go a day without it. 3. I've played the piano for seven years. 4. I love dream catchers. 5. I'm 5'9. Sorry if these aren't interesting enough, haha. The funniest dog name I've heard was Taco Tesse. He was an obese chihuahua.

Just like human scars, there is a good chance Max will not grow hair back on his muzzle. Most likely is that he destroyed the hair roots since he apparently kept re-injuring the area by sticking his nose through the fence. Other then being a cosmetic issue, it shouldn't make much of a difference to Max whether the hair grows back or not. I would keep on eye on the area in severe heat or cold so it doesn't sunburn or frostbite.

It may eventually grow some, but scar tissue is different than regular skin. I once had a motorcycle wreck and lost a lot of skin on my forearms, It eventual healed up ok, but you can still see where it happened years later because there are no freckles where the wounds were, although my arm hair did come back slightly. Your dog may get some hair back eventualy tho, it hasnt really been that long, it takes awhile

If it's still pink, it may just be too soon for hair to have grown back, the skin has only just healed.
However, be aware that hair often does not grow on scars on animals! Not a big deal, it'll just be part of his uniqueness! So long as the wound's healed, that's the main thing.

If it has recently healed, it could possibly just not have grown hair back yet, but most likely it is scar tissue and hair will not grow there even with rogaine!!! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but all you can do is wait. So what if he is missing a bit of hair, don't let that stop you from loving him, because it won't stop him from loving you.

It's a scar? So it may not ever grow hair back there. Time will tell.
EDIT: So your family continues to be emotionally abusive to a dog that you rescued from previous abuse? Have you pointed this out to them? If so, and they continue to do it, I wouldn't allow them around the dog anymore. What a bunch of brain dead idiots.

Possibly needs more time but if it is not going to grow back it may need sun protection during the summer. I am NOT sending you up, a friend of mine had a sun-burnt dog after it was clipped in the Summer. it is sad when this happens and they don't deserve it

might not grow back ever. fiona is a rescue dog, and she had a large scar between her eyes and two small ones on her forehead since we got her. since she was abandoned, we have no idea how it got there, and its been two years. the vet says its just scar tissue
people always ask about them since shes a pit bull they assume shes a fighter. they dont hurt her, she doesnt notice them at all, so if shes ok with having naked spots, im ok with it too.

It is possible good old Max might have damaged the follicles on that spot, creating scar tissue. In that case, likely the hair will not grow back.
Thank you for rescuing...and caring!
