Can a dog eat cantaloupe or is it one of those poisonous foods for dogs like chocolate??

Yes. Dogs are omnivorves, which means that they can eat a variety of foods like fruits, vegetables, meats and grain. My dog loves watermelon.

They should not eat corn, grapes, raisins, onions or chocolate, because these foods make them sick. Most dog foods have corn in them, watch out for that, because they are cheap.

I feed my dog INNOVA. It's the best dog food out there.

Dogs can eating pretty much anything, including their own poop. Whether or not they SHOULD is another matter.

No, cantaloupes do not contain nephrotoxins like chocolate does. But like anything, too much is likely to cause problems, especially fruit! So don't give it every day, or more than once a week really.

Yeah, it's perfectly fine. Most fruits and vegetable are good for dogs... there's only a select few to avoid, and cantaloupe's not one of them.

EDIT: But yes... watch for diarrhea. Often a change in "kind" of food can be tough on anyone's digestive system. So in moderation.

Not poisonous, but could cause diarrhea or intestinal irritation if the dog is not used to that kind of food.
