IMO you should seriously consider buying from your local professional camera store. You'll be face to face with a person who is trained and knowledgeable about cameras. Your salesperson will be there to answer questions, help solve problems and offer advice. Some stores even give an hour or so of instruction with your purchase.

Please, please, if you do visit a local professional camera store and take up the salesperson's time BUY from him/her. Most salespeople in specialty stores are on commission so it isn't right for you to stiff him/her by not buying from them.

If you're near Columbus check with Columbus Camera (columbuscameragroup.com).

I have found that one of the best websites to buy a digital camera online is at Amazon.com. You understand you can trust them as the world's biggest online retailer and they have the A to Z Guarantee to cover all your purchases.

Amazon has an enormous collection of Digital Cameras and they offer everything from low-cost models to high end professional digital slr cameras at amazing prices so you ought to find something that suits your own budget.

Look into Amazon's large selection of digital cameras at http://amzn.to/Amazon-Camera-Store

Buying digital cameras from some shop online or a random ebay seller that you have actually never ever heard of is extremely risky. Even if you do get what you paid for would you trust them with your credit card details. You know with Amazon it will be among the cheapest online and you can trust them.

Best of luck
