doesn't that mean that a bunch of people had sex with their sister/brother?

Incest happened until Moses. Before the Flood people lived 600 to 900 years old and had many kids. Adam and Eve had 31 sons and 20 or more daughters. And yes to populate the earth they would need to marry their brothers and sisters.

The genes didn't start messing up until Moses so Moses stopped the incest.

No matter how you look at it (evolution or Adam & Eve), we're all related. But, if the Adam and Eve story is literally true, then yes a bunch of people had sex with their brother/sister.

Yes, it's generally accepted that Adam and Eve's children married each other.

Fairy tales aside, all living things are "cousins", some more distant than others. You are descended from essentially everyone who was alive more than 1000 years ago (and had decedents). That includes Charlemagne, Mohamed, Ramses II, the Queen of Sheba.

You got it!

Our DNA/Genetics were more perfect to begin with so
the problem with inbreeding was not an issue for several
generations! Now it's an issue and will get worse as
our genetics become less and less perfect.

Indeed... We are the descendants of incestuous love, if you're a Christian. I guess they consider it more acceptable than being a descendant of a monkey. :)

Yes. But they were closer to perfection then than we are now, less likelihood of hereditary illnesses.

Later on God forbade incestual marriages. (He understands genetics better than anyone)
