Like it's not an issue unless someone brings it up? I don't question anthing... things just are the way they are. I don't idealize anything and make up reasons... sometimes I think that it would be nice to believe in a creator that will ultimately put justice to everything, but I can't believe in that. I know that there is real heartache and cruelty in humanity and it is because of people, not becaue of gods or devils or other figures.
Anyway, I just realized that recently. I really don't think about religion at all unless someone asks me about it or brings it up. The only reason I'm thinking about it now is because I came across the religion & spirituality section.
I wonder if other atheists feel the same way?

Religion doesn't cross my mind, it is shoved into it by the invasiveness of the religious people.
It affects an enormous amount of our daily lives even though we are used to it and sometimes it is hardly noticed.
We are never allowed to ignore it.

I feel the same way but people bring up religion everyday. Now with the Christmas season coming up they're putting ads on T.V. As soon as Halloween is over we'll be choking on Christmas til January.

Pretty much. If Christians weren't trying to legislate their peculiar morality, I don't think I'd think about religion at all, except when some Falwellian hamster comes on the television to denounce a movie he hasn't seen.

Yep.
When it makes the news that some right wing group is trying yet again to oppress people, then I think about it.
When someone preaches about children worshipping the devil by celebrating Halloween, I think about it.
Etc...
Otherwise, I have much better things to think about.

It used to be like that, but with so much religion interfering in so much of life these days, its hard to ignore, and frankly we should not ignore it, or we will regret it.

Atheist is the religion where you don't believe in god, and you don not worship anything. Atheism is a religion in itself. Agnostic is whee you don't even care.
