Why is it no one ever discusses Casey Mears when talking about HMS? Aren't there any Casey fans?

Maybe next year we'll see Jr. and Casey chasing the Cup, with Jeff and Jimmie chasing them...That would be kool with me! LOL

Casey has some fans and he was great friends with Ricky, Rick's deceased son. He is a decent driver but certainly not in the same category as Jeff and Jimmie. Hopefully he can progress and benefit from Dale Jr being at HMS instead of Kyle. Actually Casey and Jimmie are much better friends than Jeff and Jimmie are. Casey is sort of reserved and doesn't draw attention to himself the way some drivers do.

I think Casey is a great guy, he's in my current top 10 drivers. He does seem to get over shadowed by Jeff and Jimmie..He has improved alot this yr, won the 600 at Lowes in May, and with him teamed up with Alan G as crew chief at HMS next yr, this will be great for him..I hope he can win some races next yr and show the other 3, Jeff, Jimmie and Jr, hey I'm here also, wow if all 4 make the chase next yr...

Kyle Busch wouldn't have been heard about either if his raw talent didn't win him races... with Tony Eury in the 25/5 (88) shop next season it will help to turn things around for both teams... the 5 team has shown it's brilliance at times but has also had near catastrophic failures that simply don't happen within the 24/48 shop...
Casey will have his day in the sun... however if you're expecting him to be talked about in the same breath as Gordon, Johnson, and Earnhart... don't hold yours...

Casey Mears is very talented driver. I have seen him talk to Jeff And Jimmie. He is quite. I think he will be a very good driver in the future.

Yea Casey Mears is a talented driver for sure. He's just quiet. I'm sure he will strike unexpected next year. He's had plenty of chances this year, but he's been told to "back down" or " lay off" for jeff jimmie and kyle. i think he isnt used to his full potential at hendrick's. I'm a Jr fan and with him coming next year, he really wont be able to do much, but hopefully he wont listen and race to the finish try to get some wins. Maybe somebody will realize his talent and potential and pick him up.

I think Martin Truex Jr. will. They need a change. Casey's not doing it for them. EDIT: After reading Jayski, it would only make sense to put Mark Martin in that car and let Aric Almirola have the 8 to himself.

When it comes to casey there is just not much to talk about. Hes a good driver but just not as good as JJ, JG, or Junior yet.....

they only talk about a select few unless and until someone makes the news and changes it. Casey is a good driver, dont know too much on him tho
