Hi,
I'm getting a Videonics MXPRODV Video switcher/mixer, and I was wondering how I could get my video to the computer? It only has video outputs, (no firewire).

Would I have to send it to a TV, then record it to a DVD, then RIP the DVD on the computer? Or, is there a simpler way?

You would need an AV capture device for your computer - see "Section 3 - Analog video capturing" in this helpful guide:

I have set up a number of professional television studios, and i am curious why you want to use a mixer? Run your videos into the computer and edit there. Sony Vegas probably costs less than the mixer you bought and does a better job. Especially for overlay graphics and titling. Go with the computer for editing.
