I am a client of an aesthetician, we both seem to be interested in each other, the next time I see her is 3 weeks from now, when I see her I planned to ask her out. A female friend of mine said to call now & do it over the phone, I prefer to do it face to face, she suggests that would be awkward to ask her while shes at work like that. I think it would be strange to call someone unexpectedly & ask them on a date, can you give your thoughts or opinion on how to do this under the circumstances.

Do it face to face, but not during a scheduled office visit.

I think you have to approach this very carefully. Are you SURE she is interested in you personally or just being friendly in the course of performing her job? Maybe the next time you see her, ask casually if she has ever dated any of her clients. If it seems like she has, or it's no big deal to her, then I think you could ask her out. If she indicates that would be crossing a professional boundary, you might say something like, "That's too bad. I was thinking of asking you out myself. Maybe I should find another aesthetician. ha ha." Play it by ear.

Do not do it over the phone! On your lunch break or just when both of you have finsihed work ask her if she wants to go watch this cool new film on the weekend or ask if she wants to go to the theatre and if she says yes go and then when it ends ask her if shes hungry then take her to a restaurant. Don't be boring guy and ask her out for dinner. Women want to go somewhere were they will have fun.
Plus you can discuss the play or film afterwards when your eating so you wont have any awkward silences.
Another tip, always pay on the first date.

Personally, I'd rather ask over the phone, being the coward that I am. Anyways, do the phone first, telling her you wanted talk and get to know her a spot better. If she seems amenable to going out, then ask her, but let her know you're asking over the phone so as to not put her on the spot at work.

I think that total honesty is a sign of a strong man. be truthfull. I would call her and tell her you know this is somewhat akward, but that you really like her and would like to take her out, that you were going to wait and ask her face to face, but were trying to not make it akward while she was working. Plus you didnt want to miss out on the oppertunity to get to know her.
Honesty is always the best way to start a relationship!!
Good luck!

Don't ask her at work. She may be required to turn you down there because of a breach of work ethics. If you do it over the phone outside of the office, it would be less like your being her client and more like your being an interested admirer.

Just ask her out on a date face to face

It is better than in IM, ccomputer, text message, over the phone

Plus she'll think that you are much braver if you ask her face to face

I think you should Send her some flowers early in the morning then call her around an hour before lunch & ask her if she would like to have lunch, if she does like youshe will most probably say yes. Then you'd have a chance to speak to her on a more serious plane..

I can see both sides, because your friend is right if you ask her at work you are going to catch her off guard, by her being in her "professional enviorment" and if you ask her over the phone she may not be able to place you.

So good luck either way!!!

I agree with Madison..it;s tempting to be rejected by a phone call than face to face...but that's proper to ask face to face. a phone call is impersonal.
