As long as the child is a minor, the parent can legally view any medical records. After the child is 16, though, gynecological and records of that sort are private unless disclosed by the child.

Lola is correct. Parents have the right to view childs records unless they are for gyn or otherwise known as birth control. Alot of parents say no to birthcontrol and then the child gets in trouble. Most minors go to clinics and ask an adult friend to come with them to act as a guardian normally an older sibling they can trust or an relative like an Aunt.

Yes a parent or legal guardian has the right to view a childs medical records, however it the 'child' is 14 for example and it's a girl who has asked for contraception it may be that the doctor will refuse and you'll have to ask your local authority to intervene.

Yes. In some states when a child turns 12, docs and hospitals must review all info in the records before release. They are legally required to take out, not let you know, about certain conversations and aspects such as drug and alcohol treatment and birth control and counseling.

Yes you can if you are the legal guardian or the child's parent and if the child is under 18 yrs of age.

You will need to put this request down in writing and you will need to pay for the copies (if requesting certain copies from patient's hospital case notes)

Yes you can, I know because my ex-mother-n-law took my son to the doctor about 3-4 times over one summer and I wanted to know why. I called the office and at first they didn't want to give me any information, but once I showed them a copy of my divorce decree that showed I had a legal right to have access to my sons medical records, they had no choice.

Yes you can. Doctors are obligated to show the parents the medical records of minors.

To a certain degree....children are entitle to privacy when it comes to mental health, and these records will be sealed and only viewed by the child and other heathcare professionals.
