If a 2 channel amp is only bridgeable to 4 ohms but I have 2-4 ohm woofers, can I get a mono amp thats 2 ohm stable to bridge them too, or is bridging still bridging no matter how you slice it?

"Bridging" means combining two amplifier channels into a single channel, so by definition a mono amp cannot be bridged. If your mono amp is stable for 2-ohms, you can connect both 4-ohm speakers in parallel. This should work perfectly.

if you bridge the two speakers, you will get a 2 ohm load no matter what amp you hook them to. the 2 ohm load will be fine for the mono amp, but not the 2 channel. you would either want to hook one sub per channel or wire them in series for an 8 ohm load.
