If you had a contagious flesh eating disease what would you do?

Would you socially and physically isolate yourself or would you try to spend as much time as you could with the people you cared about the most, because you did not know how much time you had left with them even if it ment exposeing them to the disease? What about if you unknowingly spread the disease just by being up and doing everyday things. What would you do?

I would explain the disease to people and let then choose if they would like to be in contact with me.
It is unfortunate for people to have such diseases.
I am so sorry for being so blunt.
My sister in law and I were planning a baby shower for my sister so I went to help plan the shower to her house.
My niece came out after about an hour and she was covered in small red spots all over her body. I asked what she had and my sister in law said I don't know maybe measles or something. I was in shock. And I went immediately home. Why: because I was pregnant for the 3rd time in my life. I miscarried my first two children and she knew this. It just was not a big deal to her but I was floored that she would even consider having a pregnant lady there when her daughter was so ill. May I ask what would you have done in this case?
I lost that baby also. but it was not due to being exposed to the measles we learned much later I had a birth defect and it needed to be corrected for me to carry a child to term.

If I had such a disease, I'd first and foremost head for the hospital where I'd most likely be quarantined during treatment. Those types of infections are highly contagious and the last thing in the world I'd want to do is spread it to someone I loved.

Flesh eating disease can be contolled, I am proof of that..and after having it twice, I hope I never get it again. Fortunately, Iknow what to look for now and immediately get to the hospital or Dr.'s office. As far as I know, it is not communicable so there is no reason to isolate yourself, but carry on your life as always..being careful not to bump or bruise yourself.

There's only one known flesh eating disease and it's not catching. I would get myself to a hospital and get the infected parts surgically removed ASAP if I don't want to die or become severely disabled. It spreads to other parts of your body within hours so don't lose time! There's nothing that surgeons can do except to remove the affected parts to stop it eating more of your body.

I suppose you're talking about necrotising fasciitis - a strep infection of the skin.

i would remain isolated and write to them. I think it would be too hard to hear their voice. Maybe there is a special containment that would allow me to see them, but behind glass or plexi-glass? Otherwise, it would be selfish to expose your loved ones to something so dangerous.
