How do I delete from desktop....?

I just un-installed a program, but didn't delete it from my desktop first. Now when I click on it to delete from desktop, I get a message that the file cannot be found. Is there a way to take it off the desktop without having to re-insatll it?

I would suggest to try rebooting the computer......
