Yeah that whole "lustful thoughts" crap isn't accurate.
I usually think of nothing.
How is it sinful then?

They call it a sin because they want everyone to be miserable like them. How can thought be impure? The only way it can be impure is if you lose your focus.

2352 By masturbation is to be understood the deliberate stimulation of the genital organs in order to derive sexual pleasure. "Both the Magisterium of the Church, in the course of a constant tradition, and the moral sense of the faithful have been in no doubt and have firmly maintained that masturbation is an intrinsically and gravely disordered action." "The deliberate use of the sexual faculty, for whatever reason, outside of marriage is essentially contrary to its purpose." For here sexual pleasure is sought outside of "the sexual relationship which is demanded by the moral order and in which the total meaning of mutual self-giving and human procreation in the context of true love is achieved."
To form an equitable judgment about the subjects' moral responsibility and to guide pastoral action, one must take into account the affective immaturity, force of acquired habit, conditions of anxiety or other psychological or social factors that lessen, if not even reduce to a minimum, moral culpability.

Nothing about impure thoughts here....

The pleasure was given as a gift to those that help God in creating new life. To take the pleasure without accepting the responsibility that is supposed to go with it is selflove. It's like stealing doughnuts and hogging them down, only to throw them up later because they'll make you fat.

you have your hardcore religious fanatics which will tell you pretty much breathing is a sin. I say god before anything or anyone else, yet know we are not perfect, i ask for forgiveness everyday, yet i masterbate and rather enjoy it. i do not see it as something dirty or sinful. in the beginning we had to populate the earth, that is not the case anymore.

The whole lust thing is crap.. Every single person from priest to adolescent has lustful thoughts... No one can 'really' avoid it because at the end of the day it's human nature.

You want what you can't have.. Simple as that, people who whine and ***** about it just need to get a life...

The bible has never been too kind to the female species, I am sure the writers, never even considered the impulses that women may have, as they were considered property.
