If a boy doesn't masturbate his body will still make him release the over build up of semen and sperm.
I told my two sons I'd rather they take care of business rather than me having to deal with dried up **** on my quality cotten bed linens in the laundry.
Geez! It's natural. It's healthy. Prudish people need to get over themselves. Men produce over 10 million sperm a day, they HAVE to get rid of some it SOMETIME.

Probably a lot of people are told that; both boys and girls. However, when the bible was written (by man) they didn't know much about human anatomy and one of their top priorities was keeping the species going. They probably figured that if a man masturbated that would wasting his sperm and eventually he would run out. They didn't know that men keep producing sperm and that it cannot run out. That's the only reason the bible says masturbation is a sin.

We never talked about masturbation in my home. I am sure my Mom and Dad knew I was doing it because all boys do, I assume all girls do also as well as most women.
I did get the impression that sex was very dirty or something extreamely private and should not be on TV or even the hint of sex should not be on TV. That is how I was brought up. I ended up watching MUCH porn as an adult and having sex with women who I had no intention to marry.

I've heard this, and I'm a girl, they tell it to everyone. I personally think it's nonsense and that there is nothing wrong with masturbation, did you know that the human fetus masturbates in the womb? I was just reading a science magazine on it, just thought that was interesting.

My dad encouraged it! He said it was a better way than having sex before marriage which is a sin. He even told some of my schoolmates on "Parent's day" in my sociology class, it was an option for relieving ones urges.

My family wasnt really religious, but I was told that if I "touched" my self (either just scratching or something, you know how little boys do that) that I would get warts. I know alot of people who's parents told them that they would go to hell, fall off, or any other extreme that you could think of.

I am a girl, so I can't answer your question for myself, however, my cousin, when we were 15, was told this and cried FOREVER, because he 'couldn't stop' as he put it, and thought he was going to hell. It was funny at the time, but now I think about how scared he really must have been.

All of us were.
Although if you read the verses forbidding it, they say not to spill your seed on the ground. So its important to live near a creek or river, or lake or if you are lucky, the ocean. That way you can still spill seed and retain eternal life.
