I went out on a 2nd date with 25 y/o guy (good-looks, cocky and confident) who voluntarily revealed he is a virgin when i didn't ask. I am almost positive he is trying to use that as a ploy to get me to sleep with him. I am not buying it. At end of date, we made plans to see other in 2 weeks. He asked if he should email or call. I said email is impersonal, i prefer phone but he still said "i'll email u."
"You know it's weird e-mailing people instead of calling, but thanks for a great time on sat and letting me make it up to you."
"Thx for a great time too. I still feel bad about bowling...you should've let me chip in a little."
"Nah, I still feel like I need to make it up to you some more. hehehe."
Should I confront him? Will he fess or run away? Or should I not confront him and see if he sticks around after 3-4 months? What should I reply to this or should I not reply at all?

hmmm i would be careful with that one.....if you ever met a real 25 year old virgin- it's not usually something they tell to anyone...

He might be a virgin. He might be a nice guy by telling you right off the bat. The only way you'll know it's a ploy is if he wants to sleep with you in the first month. If he is a virgin, chances are he'll hold out for awhile.
Some people just don't like the telephone. We live in an E-mail/text message world now. Maybe he just prefers that.

Can I ask why your so unwilling to belive he's a Virgin? He may seem cocky but that could just be a way of masking his insecurities, men are very good at hiding their real emotions. The fact he would rather use E-mail may be a sign of his underlying lack of confidence. If I were you I would "confront" him about the legitamacy of his virginity utill you have more information.

He probably wants to email you just because if you asked him about his virginity issues on the phone, he wouldn't be able to come up with a good answer without sounding obvious. Continue to date him, but if it seems obvious that all he wants is to get busy, then he's just some loser looking to get laid. I mean, after 25 years, don't you think that he'd still want to keep looking for the right girl before hooking up? He sounds a little fishy...

I've gone out with lots of guys that made that claim...and dumped them. They were lying... like the one girl above me said, when you're really a virgin, you don't shout it from the hilltops. It's private and personal and there are usually good reasons for it that they will discuss when they know you better.
If your instincts tell you he's full of it, then he probably is.
