Dont go out and buy anything expensive.
First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (Maybe 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Use a teaspoon of every oil and honey,.... a little more if ur hair is long or a little less if ur hair is short

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed, fortify, reconstruct, moisturize, soften & remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can also use a conditioner but get a light conditioner that wont wiegh ur hair down, becuz u can over condition, I use herbl essences "clean happy" conditioner.

When I do this at nite, I wake up, shampoo & condition, rinse and style as usual. Has worked for years

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

The best way to find the best products for your hair is to try them all. That would be pretty expensive but go over to a friends house and use some of her stuff. See how it works, and just keep trying new things. Hair may work with products from this company and not that company....it's all trial and error.

If I can suggest something, I would suggest you try a hot oil treatment....for a cheaper way to have great soft and silky hair with less frizzies, warm up some olive oil (regular cooking stuff) in the microwave and massage it into your hair while it is dry. Wrap it up in a warm towel from the drier and sit for an hour or so. Maybe give yourself a facial at the same time. Then get in the shower, and shampoo out all the oil (because water won't get the oil out--oil and water don't mix) and then condition your hair. Viola! Beautiful silky hair.

The most key thing to protecting your locks is to stay away from all heat. Yep, that means no hairdrier, no straightner, no curling iron either....It's very hard not to advert to these products but just try it for a week. Don't blow dry your hair for a week....try it. I know it's hard not to but if you stay away from things with heat such as blow driers, curling irons, straightners, etc....you will notice a HUGE change in the feel and look of your hair. It will be so much more healthy.

After you shampoo, apply conditioner & then gently comb out your hair with a wide tooth comb before your rinse out the conditioner. Run water through your hair gently - don't swirl it & twist it. Then gently gather sections to squeeze out the water.

Use a super absorbent microfiber towel to press the remaining moisture in your hair after you get out of the shower. Spray on a leave in conditioner & comb out your hair again w/ a wide tooth comb if necessary. Start at the bottom & work your way upwards to remove any tangles.

The microfiber towel is more absorbent than a conventional terry cloth towel so it will help your hair air dry faster. Allow your hair to air dry as often as possible.

Only brush your hair while it is dry & use brushes w/ smooth tipped bristles that are widely spaced to avoid tearing your hair.

Avoid styles that pull your hair tight. Use smooth hair elastics and barrettes.

Avoid using styling products w/ a lot of alcohol; stick to ones w/ alcohol lower down on the ingredients list.

Joico K-Pak conditioner is the best for damaged, dry hair. It can be used as a deep treatment mask or as a daily conditioner.

Run a drop of jojoba oil through the ends of your hair. It will add a bit of sheen & makes a good leave in conditioner. Jojoba oil is non-comedogenic & washes out easily.

Trim split ends.Section & pin your hair. Take each section one by one, twist & trim off split ends that stick out. Use small scissors, ex) cuticle or baby scissors.

May result from hereditary or hormonal problems-or due to a result of damage caused by over-use of heated rollers, hot hair dryers, perms and bleaches.

You can protect your hair:

*

By using very mild shampoos and good quality conditioners.
*

By having them trimmed regularly.
*

By going in for once-weekly hot oil treatment. Use warm olive or almond oil and massage it carefully into the scalp and hair.
*

Leave the oil on overnight, if possible, by covering the hair with a plastic bath cap and a toweling turban. Wash the oil off the next day by applying diluted shampoo directly to the scalp before applying water.
*

Mayonnaise Conditioner
To recondition the hair, shampoo hair with homemade shampoo or a shampoo from the natural foods store. Rinse and towel dry. Apply regular mayonnaise (not salad dressing) to the hair. Massage in. Let sit for 10-15 minutes, shampoo again lightly and rinse with an apple cider vinegar and water solution.

also use products specified for dry hair!Good luck!

Make sure when you shampoo that the water runs clear.
When you apply conditioner, apply enough to coat entire main, leave in for more then 2 minutes, rinse till you feel that all the cream is out.
Eat more food with antioxidants, this will make stronger, shinier, healthier hair grow.
If you dye your hair, only do root touch ups, don't keep applying to remainder hair.
I have hair that tends to not hold moisture long enough, so I have to wash it everyday.
If you use leave in products, or styling products, you may want to switch to ones that have benefits for your main.

use a very good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner for dry hair.. i suggest Garnier Fructis Moisture Works. then use a good heat protectant whenever you use a flat iron curling iron etc.... and do a mayonaise treatment* every 2 weeks...

* coat mayonaise all over dry hair.. leave in for 20 min. take a shower and wash your hair really good afterward to get the mayo out.

Use a 15 minute conditioning mask every few days, also try not to use heat styling products but if you have to make sure you spray a protectant on your hair first.
