Atheists believe that this is your one life and you do not have one after this. Therefore they do not believe in justice. Hitler for example will not have to pay for the millions he killed. Therefore I can rape, kill, rob, and do what I wish and as long as I don't get caught before I die and life is good for ME then that is wonderful. Atheists love evolution which states survival of the fittest. Thus if I have the most power then I make the law. Which is of course what George Bush is doing. According to atheism there can be no right or wrong. Just chemicals and chemical reations. Pain, emotions, love: Its all just chemicals. Who cares about chemicals? Human emotions? Nah just chemicals. So thank you atheists for your contribution to the world. When I get nuclear weapons and eliminate everyone I can live happily knowing that I won't have to pay for this in my next life. And man is George Bush a swell guy. Long live the fittest!!!

You people just don't get it. I don't care about George Bush and I don't think atheists do either. The point is according to Atheists there can be no logical basis for right or wrong. Morons

No, I do not care for Bush. I did not vote for him either election.
You are correct, what you do in this life is not punished or rewarded when you die. If you murder and rape and don't get caught then yeah, you got away with it.

I think you have a misunderstanding of atheism. Just because there is no afterlife does not mean that there is no need for personal responsibility and accountability. Part of growing up and abandoning ideas of gods who punish and reward is the responsibility to make the right decisions without the threat of consequences. I mean you COULD rape and rob and all that stuff, but it is not behavior that is fit for society. Atheists in general do not favor lawlessness or carelessness. There may not be a universal right and wrong but that does not mean that ethics and morals disappear. We live like civil human beings so we can function together as a society. If you really need the threat of hell to stop you from becoming a savage beast, then I fear for the people around you because people like you are a threat to society and should be locked up or better yet killed off.

Considering what Christian Adolf Hitler did the religions don't seem to have much morality.

Religious morality is moral relativism at its most extreme with things being good or bad merely at the command of a creature called god, strange that god always seems to want to kill those you want dead.

OTOH atheists typically follow a humanist morality that is based on what evolution has provided us (i.e. methods to co-operate and therefore be more likely to survive and reproduce).

I might want to actually learn about morality before sprouting off nonsense.

Because I think this is all the life we get I don't believe in justice?

Wouldn't that make me support justice here and now?

People do have compassion for others. People can distinguish between right and wrong. If you were a decent human being, you would have no desire to harm others. Really, why would you WANT to rape, kill, rob, etc.?

This is the stupidest post I have ever seen.

You seem to be forgetting that it was the Christian Evangelical vote that got him into office - well, with the help of a lot of rigging. Did you see the '04 RNC? They actually had crosses on their podiums! So tell me another one.

By the way, if you have to believe in "God" in order to know that it's bad to kill people, you aren't moral - you're a child afraid of punishment.

I'm an atheist and I HATE George Bush.

Heh,

Nice try. However Atheists tend to be much more educated than religious people, and tend to hold their beliefs and the people they trust in to a higher level of accountability than most religious people.

The Christian right still votes for republicans, and arguably were the ones who put Bush in office back in 2000. They still sing his praises, even though he has not delivered on one of the main points in their platform.

Christian voters clearly don't care about the results of their votes.

Go reflect on the abstraction that is commonly referred to as 'the afterlife'. Also reflect on your own contradictions, polytheistic/ androgynous/ circular as they may be (which one will punish you, for the blasphemous tirade you just embarked on, and the sin of suggestive corruption toward the naive you just committed?). Then come back and try again.

The only REAL aspect of an afterlife IS this abstraction. I know it is scary to ponder, but 'salvation' requires courage. This courage, BTW is not reflected in your average herd animal... In case you didn't know, the herd animal is YOU, theists...

The Christiam Moral Majority voted for Bush.
How very, very sad.
As an atheist I think he is one of the worst presidents America and the world has ever had to suffer.
I hazard a guess that not many atheist would vote for him.

fairly you're joking. the guy's performed each thing yet placed a crucifix on the White abode roof. He loves the 2d substitute yet has little use for the 1st while it consists of separation of church and state, or unfastened speech. i'm in simple terms speaking approximately his consistent injection of his fundie religious perspectives into each thing. for sure, the conflict and the economic equipment are the two mess ups.
