You don't have to do anything you don't feel is right. But remember what you send out into this world will come back to you three fold.
If you want people to respect you then you should show some respect for others. Like Aviana I am a parent raising my children in the craft and am teaching them to show some respect for others. I was raised as what some in the craft call "circle baby" and as so was always told that you don't have to agree with someone to respect them as a human being.

Any obligation you have to respect God is between you and Him. Your decision may affect other people, of course, but it's still ultimately between you and God.
You are under no obligation to believe in God or anything else based on my beliefs or preferences.
I've met me. I know I'm not the ruler of the universe. ;o)

No, you're under no obligation. However, one of the "Golden Rules" does apply here. Treat others the way YOU want to be treated. So, I guess the question is, would you be offended if someone said something bad about your GOD? If no, no problem, if yes, think twice before commenting. Simple.

No. Not under any kind of obligation. I am a christian, and I know that God is slandered at every corner. Personally, I would not mind if you were to slander God's name, but that does not mean I would not appreciate if you just do not mention anything bad about God around me.

Its not an obligation, its a courtesy. And something that when I was a child parents taught. Respect for everyones beliefs and feelings.
It is rude not to...but the world is full of rude people anymore. Its truly sad. Now its taught to be politically correct. Values are no longer taught.
Personally as a Wiccan parent, I taught my children to respect everyones beliefs. And be respectful at all times. Perhaps as parents, if we teach respect and values this will change.
Blessings,
Aviana

You should not respect any God, that you would not be proud of as your own. One needs to develop the image of God, that works best for you, in making you a better person, and a positive contributer to a better world. Pray/meditate, do mind-body exercises, eat healthy, and don't over indulge, and you will develop a sharper connection with God.

No, you are not obligated to do anything you are not willing to do whole heartedly, but you will serve one or the two. The one above or the one below. -The (free will) choice is yours.
-Good luck with that.
Joshua 24:15 (NIV)
15 But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living.
But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.

I fear that your serious, so I'll give you my take on this question. You should respect people period! Dont you require a certain amount of respect? I dont have 2 agree with some1 to respect them. It's just a common courtesy. If you didnt like the way a dog barked, would you kick him? How about this, if I didnt like the way your mom looked would it be ok for me to tell her? Im mean c'mon. You just cant be serious. Blessings to you, for real.

I think we are all obligated to respect each other and each other's beliefs. It is when people are disrespectful, that causes problems between people and nations.
Thank you, Avianna, for saying it so well. As a Christian parent, I did the same.

No. But as a respectable human being, you should respect the fact that someone believes in their god. Just because you think that what someone believes is a bunch of hooey, doesn't give you the right to disrespect them because of their belief.
