I just want to put forth a suggestion that perhaps God is not that biblical monster.

I associate spite, jealousy, bigotry, and hate with the God that is portrayed in the Bible. The God that I love is nothing like the evil stepfather in the Bible that did so many horrible things to his own so-called "children".

I personally don't. Sometimes I don't understand his reasoning but I could never associate hate and bigotry with God. I don't even use those words in the same sentence with God. I am thankful to the one and only God for anything and everything that is me, for it all belongs to him anyway. GOD BLESS!!

Awesome idea.
I would would dare to say when it comes to the "christian god" I am atheist...meaning I think there isn't a chance in hell that would be God if there was a God.
Yet there are things in my life that go beyond logical thinking and continue to make me wonder about the existence of a God.

Suggestion not taken, God is a biblical monster and will remain that monster for eternity. Lets not smooth out the blood stains that that book has caused.

The christian god is certainly associated with hate and bigotry. You dont have to read very much of the bible to be able to see that.
Even worse he's a mass murderer, wiping out millions of people, some presumably totally innocent, in a global flood. And killing the first born in every household in Egypt one night.
And people say that "God is Love" ............ have never been able to work that one out personally.

He does Things out of love for us so no I can not say He is a monster. I would probably kill if someone wanted to hurt my children or Help them if they were harming themselves or others.
Thats how I see God.
