I'm sure you'll hear some barking, but it shouldn't be anything disruptive. The plus side is if you get a dog, it will so so close and convenient.

I would LOVE to have a dog park close to me. Unfortunately, the closest one is 2 hours away.

When I go to the dog park I've never noticed the any major noise. The dogs aren't usually very barky.

I suppose it's just like any park. More people in the area, more cars parked around your house. Depending on your neighborhood, a park may attract unruly characters, but if I were an unruly character I think I'd probably choose a normal park over a dog park to do my dastardly deeds.

If you have a dog, that's great luck! I have many dog parks in the area but none closer than a 10-minute drive.

Dog parks are a little controversial because there is a possibility that dogs can get hurt or even killed. I'd suggest you do your own research and come to your own conclusion before bringing your dog.

Most of the dogs at the park are totally safe. A few play too rough or have a high prey drive that incites them to chase or catch small dogs. A few are dog aggressive. Most people take their dogs to the park all the time and there's no problem. But there is a small risk that you should consider before going.

I'd think it's probably best to leave small children at home. Or at least they should be comfortable with dogs. It's a dog park not a kid park. Dogs charging around playing occasionally run into people. No biggie, but if they run into a child it might not be so good. The other day I was at a dog park and some crazy lady (who I think was afraid of dogs) was letting her three-year-old wander around (who was also afraid of dogs). My dog was just about as tall as the kid and only wanted to say hi. The kid kept getting scared. I moved my dog but I was kind of annoyed. It's a dog park! If you don't like dogs, don't go!

This is good in my opinion.
MAny dog parks do not let dogs or people in after certain hours (probably around 7ish or 8 at the latest depending on where it is)so the noise shouldn't be much of a problem.
Also, you love dogs so you can always go and see them there. But, if you have a dog and it barks at other dogs this could cause a problem. There are more pluses and if you dont hgave a dog you should be fine =]

good luck=]

The plus is that you have a park so close to home.. instead of other houses and buildings.. and a plus when u go to sell.. If you love animals there shouldn't be any minuss. Parks are usually monitored so people should follow the rules...

It probably won't bother you at all. It's just dogs running, chasing, sniffing around. There should not be any fights or barking because the owners must stay with them and supervise.

make sure they're going to put in a poo bag dispenser and supply those or else there could be poo smell coming from the park, if people don't pick up after their dogs.

find out if the city is going to "treat" the park (for ticks and fleas), if they are on a regular basis, then it should be okay.
