There are some products you can purchase that will neutralize the smell, but you really need to catch it right away or it gets into the carpet pad and that's where the smell remains. You usually just spray the stuff on the area, let it sit for a minute, then put a towel on top of it and step on it to soak up the pee and the deodorizer. Don't try scrubbing up the pee or it will work it deeper into the carpet and the smell will stay FOREVER! Hope this helps.

Don't know how old she is but she should either have a set prepared area in or outside to go to. As for your carpet get on hands and knees with some good quality disinfectant in some hot water and scrub it, hopefully that will work if not try squeezing lemon all over the pee area and leave it 12 hours before doing the above. If the fumes haven't knocked you out by then, you will have a clean smelling carpet, if not you will have to wait until she is fully house trained and then get new carpet - not a good prospect but one of the joys of ownership I am sorry to say, ah! but I bet she is a sweetie eh? :-)

When the puppy urinates on your carpet it goes into the padding and somtimes the subflooring. The only way you can treat it or clean it is with a neutralilzer. and then you have to pull back the carpet and treat the padding also, Best thing to stop from having to do this is not let your dog on your carpet or lay down a whole lot of newspaper and slowly start removing the paper as the dog will get used to going on the paper and pretty soon you won't have that problem and he will leanr to go somewhere elsewhere.

I know it seems like a lot of steps but it will be worth it in the long run. When she pees, try to clean it up as soon as possible, almost immediately because pee stains. Use a carpet cleaning spray like Resolve to clean it up, and my mom has found it effective to sometimes even use a laundry stain spray like Spray-N-Wash. If it has set in or continues to smell, use a homemade paste that you can make out of vinegar and baking soda. I know that they also sell special urine removal solutions at most pet stores.

There is a cleaner at Pet's Mart called Nature's or something - it comes in a white bottle with red writing - it takes the smell and stain right out of your carpet so you can't smell or see it and neither can the puppy.

Any air deodorizer will do the trick, but, generally speaking, if you can smell it, then you didn't get enough of it. You need to use soap and water or a decent carpet cleaning spray or carpet vacuum washer (assuming any of these are recommended by your carpet's manufacturer).

Nature's Miracle. This is awesome. Find it at petco and many other places. just pour it on the spot, rub it in a bit (I use my shoe like you are squashing a bug) then let it sit for an hour. Rub it with a towel and the stain and smell are gone. this can also be used for grass stains on clothing and any other organic stain! This is safe enough to be used around puppies and kids and not bad priced either its like $14 for 32oz bottle! Good luck!

There is a great product you can buy at the pet store, it is called "Nature's Miracle". blot up the wet spot, then pour on the NM. It takes care of everything --- eliminates the stain and the odor. Great product. I've used it for years. My teen daughter had the flu a couple of years ago and threw up all over the carpet. My Nature's Miracle took care of that too.

They have little blue mats that I used to train my puppy.. She always went pee on those instead of the rug or the kitchen floor, try that.. because pretty soon she'll be doing other things on the floor in your house.
But to get rid of the smell, vinegar, febreeze, or carpet cleaner

There are product at pet stores that get rid of the smell. There are also pads you can put down and show her that's where she needs to go. I had the same problem with my female doxie - it's working. The one I am using is nature's miracle - and it seems to be doing the trick.
