If you mean by unit you mean glass, usually a healthy average person can have 1 glass a day. It is proven to have health benefits. An average size adult over 120 pounds can process 1 alcoholic beverage per hr. Which means 1 12oz. beer 1 8oz. glass of wine and 1 1oz shot of liquor

I have just had loads of tests that all came back clear, but I have over 100 units a week. I think it depends on your body. My husband has always had high colesterol, for years, he is only 32 now, and he was only 11 stone six and 5'11" when I met him Three years ago.

the safety alchol units recommended for men is 21 units per week, and for women it is 14 units per week, there is around 2 units per pint of lager, also you should not drink the recommended weekly units in one day,

As many as you want, there's no legal limit unless you're driving! I think it's supposed to be around 20 or 22 for men and 12 or 14 for women.
