Box + matches*220 = 45

Box = 12

12 + matches*220 = 45

matches*220 = 45-12

matches*220 = 33

match = 33/220 = 0.15

1 match is 0.15 grams.

subtract the weight of the empty box from the total weight to tget the weight of the matches alone:

45 - 12 = 33 grams

divide the weight of all the matches together by the number of matches to get the weight of one match:

33 / 220 = .15 grams
