It's not bad to be a Christian or a Muslim or a Buddhist or an atheist or whatever you want to be. Religion is a personal choice and it should be whatever makes you comfortable.

What's BAD is when people start thinking that their beliefs (or lack thereof in the case of atheists) are somehow "right" and everyone else's are "wrong." There's no way to know 100% if one faith is the "real" faith, so it's foolish to go trying to tell other people yours is. That's how wars get started.

Personally, I don't care what people believe as long as they're good people.

Lots of people feel badly about religion, because most people do not understand what is about. Religion does entail rules and for some people (hardly anyone goes to church anymore) going to church, but most of the rules are the same for society, don't kill people, don't cheat, don't steal, etc. Religion, however, is really about learning about treating each other with respect, helping others especially in times of need. and most importantly giving you hope when times are hard. So no being a Christian is not bad.

For some people it is bad and to others its not. Some people think its bad because there's no way one man can take away the sins of the world. Some think it bad because its a condition of the mind and the "white man" made it up during slavery time to control the minds of blacks. But I am a firm believer of Jesus Christ. Everyone has their preferences and there is free will so you decide.

there are many, many decent, honest Christians... but there are also a noticeable percentage who are the nastiest people I have ever met.

the structure of Christianity as an institution seems geared towards producing conformity and trust in authorities that frankly do need to be questioned from time to time. Decent, well-intentioned people can and do get manipulated by others who can hide their ill intent inside words that peopel want to hear. The combination results in alot of unintentional harms for the most part, but again, that noticeable percentage seems to be out to do harm.

any time people are conditioned into thinking there is only one "right" way with no room for questions, it tends to be about mind control.

There is nothing wrong with having beliefs. Each person has their own. Being a Christian isn't a bad thing. I personally think it is something special. My relationship with God is strong and I go to him often for help and guidance.

Yes, and no.true Christians learn with the help of the holy spirit to face their inner fears and rely how sinful we are and endeavour to change. With gods help this can be done .it's the changes in our life that are seemingly bad.but it does not compare to the joy and peace found afterword!

I have mixed many religions into one. I believe in logic, as well as reincarnation and spirits, etc. The problem with being just christian is that it has many many limitations. But with no real religion, but with religious beliefs you can do almost anything. I mess around with runes, tarot, I have a spirit guide, and entirley agree with evolution.

It's bad to ask if it's bad to be a Christian. You should know if it's bad or not.

There's nothing bad about believing in something or doing something that YOU truly believe in and have faith in. I only consider it bad when people think that way because that's the way they were raised to be and they think they have no other options. I consider that bad in regards to EVERYTHING (religion, politics, views, anything else), though.
