to make something clear , by ''act'' i meant having sex with same-gender , do you find this to be immoral and unacceptable. or you just oppose the idea that people born gay and have weird homosexual sexual desires within themselves?

I'm a Christian and straight. That being said, what two consenting adults do has no bearing on me whatsoever. It's none of my business. I have no say in how another should live his/her life and whom he/she should sleep with as long as he/she is a consenting adult. Likewise he/she are free to worship or not worship as he/she sees fit. Good luck. 2D

Christianity and Islam and Judaism,have commands against homosexuality. Pagan religions do not. The bible does not say to hate the homosexual, but it does say that it is against nature and homosexuals will go to hell but it also says that about adulterers, liars, gluttons and every other sinner. It is just that most christians do not have a problem with homosexuality so to them that is a sin to be hated and most do not feel they hate the person but the sin, but of course they are not on the receiving end. Bottom line it is just as wrong and sinful according to the bible to over eat and to have sex without being married to that person but since most Christians do over eat and enjoy sex outside of marriage they do not treat those sins like they treat homosexuality. That is just human nature.

What you will find of most Christians is a high level of tolerance. Most Christians believe it to be a sin, but will keep a friend who is gay in their prayers so that they might seek and find God's will.
It is truely only the loudest of a minority branch of Christianity, who speak out hatefully against the gay community.
My partner and I are both welcome in my church. Our church is very conservitive. I am sure that everyone has guessed that we are more than roommates, but no one says anything about it, and everyone is friendly, and includes us both in church functions. We don't flaunt it. Frankly, that's not what we go to church for anyway.
I can't speak of other religions, because, I am not them, but, of Christianity, I think it's a misconception that Christians are an intolerant people. Perhaps SOME Christians are, but as a whole, I find Christians to be very tolerant and even inclusive.
LEDBETT....
Great call on the Hebrews and Paul thing. I always assumed Paul's letters to be, in most part, his opinion, but many take it as fact. Paul, when speaking of homosexuality, did not ever say "God said", or "Jesus said", he gave a thought. Similar to 1 cor 7 when he talks about marriage in general which starts "it is good for a man not to marry.". I always assumed that to be his own opinion.
Of course, thumbs down are coming on that one, I am sure.
I wish we could see what the Corinthians actually wrote to Paul. That would be interesting.
IRENE...
The Bible says that God made Adam and Eve. It also says that when Cain was bannashed, he found a woman in Nod, and they got together.
here, we assume that God must have created other people besides Adam and Eve. This is widely considered true by most Biblical Scholars, and theologins.
That said, how do you know for a fact that God didn't create homosexuality? There is nothing in scripture that says He did not create it.
and a point to think about, only 2 messages in the entire Bible about homosexuality, but 16 about slander, and slanderers.
Just an observation.
Sister CF:::
men who lie with men, does only mean men who lie with men.
The Bible makes it clear, when it is speaking of man kind, to say "man kind", when it is speaking of women, it says "women", when it is speaking of man, it says "man".
If men who lie with men, includes women, then anyone laying with anyone would be a sin, even if it was a married couple trying to make a child.
Besides... you need to read further, you stopped in mid thought, therefor, did not understand exactly what the passage was trying to convey.
10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
****
By being a Jahovah's Witness, it is your duety to witness to all, not just to those who you think could maybe possibly reach the kingdom of God.
This passage alone basicly tells you that no matter how far from grace you have fallen, God still can wash away your sin and sanctify you.
MAL:::
Yes, we are animals.
Animal:
1. any member of the kingdom Animalia, comprising multicellular organisms that have a well-defined shape and usually limited growth, can move voluntarily, actively acquire food and digest it internally, and have sensory and nervous systems that allow them to respond rapidly to stimuli: some classification schemes also include protozoa and certain other single-celled eukaryotes that have motility and animallike nutritional modes.

I view homosexuality the same way that God views it - as something detestable. 1 kings 14:24 says - "And even the male temple prostitute proved to be in the land. They acted according to all the detestable things of the nations whom Jehovah had driven out from before the sons of Israel."
And in 1 Corinthians 6:9 it says "What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, " And just because it says "men" doesn't mean it's not talking about women too. I have nothing to do with anyone who is like that, and never will.

I believe sexual orientation is irrelevant to the state of a person's soul or their ethical merit. My religion, Christianity, traditionally and typically considers it a sin because it was considered a sin by Paul and by the Hebrews. However, there are many inside Christianity that simply do not care and who know too many godly gay people to worry about it much. I just don't think of sin in terms of laws and rules and moral accounting, I think in terms of how our actions affect our souls.

In Wicca, homosexuality is generally viewed as a naturally occurring orientation. Since all acts of love and pleasure, with harm to none, are viewed as valid and potentially sacred, many Wiccans have no problem with gay people or whom they choose to love. In fact, we have several denominations devoted to LGBT members.
"Let My worship be in the heart that rejoices, for behold -- all acts of love and pleasure are My rituals." -- from The Charge of the Goddess

I *accept* homosexuality. Tolerate implies I'm putting up with something I don't like.
People are born how they are born. If it doesn't hurt anybody, who cares? What consenting adults do is nobody's business anyway.

Read the first part of the old testament. It is in black and white. That homosexuality is a sin.
I go by this, "Love the sinner, hate the sin."
