The head of a conservative lobbying group warns that a homosexual employment bill pending in the U.S. House will "silence of people of faith" and be a "litigation nightmare
Traditional Values Coalition has been talking about the 30 orientations that the American Psychiatric Organization says exists, and that is what's going to be opening up with this term 'perceived.'"

Lafferty argues that even without the "gender identity" provision, "anyone with a non-conventional sexual orientation can claim protection under this legislation." She also says ENDA "will ultimately force people of faith to go to sensitivity training" and threatens Christian employees "who may wear a cross or talk about Christ at work."

If a Christian is following their OWN religious principles and Jesus' command to:

'Treat others as you would like to be treated"

I see no reason why respecting other people irrregardless of their sexual orientation and treating them with dignity, tolerance and fairness should be such a BIG problem for you.

ok I stopped reading answers to this question when I read the one that said religion doesn't belong in the work place...As a Christian in this society...I find it somewhat repulsive that I can;t talk about my God but I can talk about my favorite sports team even if it isnt my co-workers favorite team and it causes an argument. I can talk about my choice for a presidential candidate..even if others don't agree and it causes an argument...I can talk about my favorite food or color or car or whatever the case may be and it causes an argument..but when it comes to religion its "don't say that it might offend someone"!!! Well if more people talked about religion and Jesus Christ maybe our society wouldn't be so far gone from Christ in the first place. And then we wouldn't have to worry about things like sensitivity training anyway!!!!

Religion doesn't belong in the work place as it is. That would not change.

Being sensitive to others is a good thing. If you do not have that capacity, training would be very helpful for you in life. Consider it free personal development.

People should be employed and paid based on their skills, nothing else.

Yes, as a follower of Jesus Christ, I would go to sensitivity training. Jesus said to love our neighbors and to treat people the way we want to be treated; and I'd hate to think I was being insensitive or mean to any of God's children.

Crimmson, it's nice to see you back! Someone said you lived in So Cal, and I was worried! Hope you and your family are well!

As Christians we should be sensitive to others, and strive to be tolerant of everyone, even if they don't share the same beliefs.

"People of faith" will not be "silenced". They will still have free speech.

But it's about time that homosexuals got some kind of protection from those who push hatred.
