Someone made an interesting point in another question of mine:

It's a very dangerous political problem. Certain evangelical Christians have formed an informal alliance with certain Zionist Jews to get what each one wants. These Christians believe that rebuilding of the Temple on the Temple Mount is an important sign of the "end times". The Zionists would just like to see the Temple rebuilt. Each party does indeed anticipate their version of the "Messiah" and are actively hoping that they can bring his appearance about.

Unfortunately, God apparently didn't get a copy of the memo. The "good deal" is all in the minds of the zealots, who disregard the political fallout of their plans. Suppose they gave an armageddon and Jesus didn't come? Or what if Islam and the Dome of the Rock is God's way of saying, "Don't try to take matters into your own hands"? All we need is to have someone a little too enthusiastic with the wrong button under his finger.

Very yes. I've already posted a youtube video talking about this.

Everything in Revelation is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Without it, you wouldn't have crazy people trying to ascribe 666 to everything, you wouldn't have suicide cults that think the world is about to end, you wouldn't have people trying to kill who they think the Antichrist is.

You'll have Israel, Zionists, Hindu fundamentalists vs. Muslim states. India and Pakistan hate each other already, and if Israel is attacked, there's the catalyst for a nuclear war.

The world is fun.

If you are going to dismiss this Prophecy, then you might as well dismiss the entire Bible.

Christians and Jewish people will do exactly what God has planned, no matter what anyone has planned, it will only happen through God.

Armageddon is about to happen now, today tomorrow.

The Middle East has already place-things in motion. Russia and Iran along with a few Muslim Countries will attack Israel, then the U.N. Egypt, U.S.A & 200 Million men will march across the Euphrates River that will be China.

This battle between good and evil will last seven years. The ending is beautiful. You can read about it in Revelation: 21 & 22.

Realize too, that the ideal of "Armageddon" has been around in one shape or form since we've had little religious sects in tribes out in the middle of nowhere. Its actually sort of a natural progression within religous development that we scare ourselves into believe that our mistakes can bring about the end of the world. Its only natural because it would be the defining motivator outside our own mortiality to drive us to help the society and not just the indivdiual. So very important, VERY sub-conicious...... A great thing to realize is that this very fact is what keeps the nuke from killing us at this very moment. Everyone feels for the ideal of Armageddon, and no matter how crazy still so far, no ones used it other then our smart-****'s, in a global conflict. So its actually the catch-22 of reality. The observer controls the experiment, therefor the results, so the big point is it doesn't matter, keep ourselves as far away from it does, apparently we've done a good job so far, but thats human insecurities for you, doing their job of keep us in check and religion keeping us in control......
