It's a cover-up. He doesn't want you to see how he really feels. That or he's got someone else. There's no real quick fix for broken hearts that I know of.

Depends how long the relationship was. Even aside from that, who broke up with who? Every guy is different with this stuff.
I was in a relationship for over a year with a girl that I was completly in love with. Eventually she broke up with me cause she said I never had time for her (between college, work, etc.). I was totally lost for a week or 2 without her, but then I realized I'll have to snap out of it sooner or later, so I kicked myself in gear, and made myself get over it. It took a good month or two before I really got over it.
For some people it takes longer, others force themselves to let the past be the past alot sooner.

depends on who broke up with who.
if you dumped him, then he's definitely gonna act like he doesnt care - its just normal. of course hes hurting inside and wants you back, but hes not gonna show it.
if he dumped you, then he might still have small feelings but is slowly getting over it.
