I heard one time that during the actual fight sequences, the female rangers are all played by men. Is that true?

No, that isn't true, although there is a stunt person in that costume when morphed, the person in either the yellow or pink costume is indeed a female. It would be a good idea to check the credits at the end of each episode.

Usually the stunts have been done by a person of the same gender. However, due to use of Japanese footage and the American Rangers not always being divided the same way (ex. they have a male yellow ranger, but US version has a female yellow ranger) - then there are men behing the costumes of female rangers.

They are female stunts in the ranger uniforms the usual actors voice.
