According to Nostradamus, 2012 represents the end of the world. It seems like most of his prophecies have become true. The mayans also recognize 2012 as being the end. What do you think?

I watched that show and , yes, it does seem scary. Columbus had reached and sailed in the waters of the New World, near to where the Mayans lived in Central America from around the end of the 1400s until the first few years of the 1500s. I wonder if Nostradamus knew of the Mayan calendar and that it mysteriously ends in 2012. Nostradamus wrote in the mid 1500s, so maybe he had heard of the Mayan calendar and had incorporated it into his prophecies. Just an interesting thought.

Also, I've heard people mention on Y! Answers that 2008 is supposed to be a bad year, but don't say why. It seems plausible enough - if the world as we know it is supposed to end in 2012, then a catastrophy happening in 2008 big enough to make a recovery and response to "the end" in 2012 impossible seems plausible, right? But what's that all about, anyway? It's frustrating enough to have to take a wait and see attitude instead of being able to do something about it, ya know?

I assure you that the world will not end on December 21, 2012 or in the near future. Nostradamus prediction when the earth will end is far into the future, past about 3700. The Mayan’s Mesoamerican Long Count calendar forms the basis for a New Age belief, first forecast by Jose Arguelles, that a cataclysm will take place on or about 21 December 2012 (Wikipedia).

In the book of Revelation, it tells us about a period of a thousand years of peace. Has this occurred already since the time of Jesus? Not yet. That will still come. Those that give such predictions as 2012 and numerous times during the past are pseudo-preachers. Have they talked to God directly? If so, give proofs.

But there is something that is certain—and that is our physical death. This is what we should prepare for. It may come when least expected. We do not know the day and the hour. It will come like a thief in the night. So we just have to be prepared all the time. Search for the true God and when we find Him, follow His commandments and remain in Him until our last dying breath.

This is all that we have to do. It is faith in Him that we can take with us when we depart from this world. If we deny Him, He will deny us also before the Father in Heaven. If we know Him and love Him and followed His commandments, then He may reward us to live with Him eternally in His kingdom in Heaven. This is the survival kit that we should have.

There are various prophecies that give 12/21/2012 as the end date. Amongst them, the I Ching, which is oldest. We are currently experiencing an axis shift of our planet, which is causing the weather changes and tidal changes causing horrific events. The last time this happened the dinosaurs were wiped out. We need to adapt to these changes or we will be exterminated. If the humans don't wake up and pay attention, they just might kill the planet even sooner.

Nostradamus never predicted this. Mayans also didn't recognize 2012 as the end. That's just when their calendar happens to end. Where are you getting these falsifications?

there is not any could be afraid. there grew to become into no Mayan prophecy. That grew to become into made up, alongside with something of the 2012 hoax. there'll be no international capability outage for any quantity of time, no longer to point out for 5 years. there'll in all possibility be none in any respect. We merely had an x classification flare. Did you spot something in any respect? No, the solar won't blow up, ever. it is not almost huge sufficient to bypass nova. whilst it runs out of Hydrogen interior the middle, it is going to enhance right into a pink widespread, in approximately 5 billion years. there is no longer something to signify that 2012 would be something different than a classic twelve months.

I think people have been predicting the end of the world since the beginning of the world.

Nostradamus made THOUSANDS of predictions. Only a very small percentage have come close to being true.

We better start getting on our knees NOW!
The Bible tells us to be aware of false prophecies.
It also tells us that Christ will come like a theif in the night. (you never know when) We should all prepare ourselves for that day when we are suppose to meet Jesus in the sky.
In a Blink of an eye.
