A true prayer is the conversation you have with God/Jesus in your own honest words.

Prayers that are repeated over and over (like hail mary, etc)are just lip service and don't mean anything because it is not from YOUR heart but words that were made up by some person.

The only repeated prayer that can be considered a true prayer is the Lord's prayer as that is from Jesus own mouth.

PRAYER in Islam
Salat is the name for the obligatory prayers which are performed five times a day, and are a direct link between the worshipper and God. There is no hierarchical authority in Islam, and no priests, so the prayers are led by a learned person who knows the Quran, chosen by the congregation. These five prayers contain verses from the Quran, and are said in Arabic, the language of the Revelation, but personal supplication can be offered in one's own language.

Prayers are said at dawn, noon, mid-afternoon, sunset and nightfall, and thus determine the rhythm of the entire day. Although it is preferable to worship together in a mosque, a Muslim may pray almost anywhere, such as in fields, offices, factories and universities. Visitors to the Muslim world are struck by the centrality of prayers in daily life.

prayer is for many things.to express thankfulness,to ask forgiveness,to ask for healing, wisdom, strength and guidance.it is an act of reverence and submission and humility ,when you are down on your knees, eyes closed and hands clasped it shows the respect and honor to which only GOD is worthy of through his son JESUS is how we are to approach GOD in prayer,as JESUS intercedes on our behalf to GOD,as we are unworthy to approach him.nor is any man or any other worthy.you do not pray to saints or some man in a robe in a closet, you do not pray using beads or JESUS mother she was blessed it is true but she is not JESUS and can not do his work.nor can any head of church or state.read the bible and do not be deceived by popular old lies!!!

Prayer, according to Wicca, is heard and answered by the Gods. Wiccans can use plain prayer, or they can incorporate it into a ritual, as I have done.

Wicca, unlike christianity, has proven itself to me over and over again.

Right now, I pray that Zeus will send rain to California...
