Yes, and I think it's necessary to establish mutual interest and avoid falling into the friend zone.

It depends. You don't want to do anything like tongue kiss on the first date with a guy you haven't really known. If you're dating a guy friend, that you've been friends with for a while, and you guys started liking each other and it's your first date, then it's fine then because you know him. Now, if it's the case were you haven't known the guy, then there are a few common signals (including kisses). A wave or quick hug suggest you only want to be friends. A peck on the cheek suggest you like him. A kiss on the lips suggest that you really like him.

I personally don't think it's a good idea to kiss people you don't really know on the first date. Wait a while, get to know the person, THEN see if you want to kiss.

It depends. If you don't really know the person that well and you haven't been going out for very long, I wouldn't go in for the kiss. If you've known each other or have been seeing each other for awhile, go for it! Another thing to factor into it is how good of a time you're having. If you're having a FANTASTIC time and you really seem to click, kiss! Good luck!

some people will consider kissing on the first date as a sign of been easy. i don't condone it but if it is okay with you and think it is fine go ahead.
sometimes you feel within yourself that the person deserves a kiss and you just do it.
you know yourself better than any one out there, so if you want to kiss on the first date and you know your level of control and you don't consider yourself easy, you can go ahead and do want you want.

NO ITS NOT OK TO KISS ON THE FIRST DATE BECUZ IF YOU KISS THE PERSON ON YOUR FIRST DATE THEN YOU ARE LETTING THE PERSON KNOW THAT YOU ARE EASY TO GET TO, SO NO ITS NOT GOOD TO KISS . IF YOU DO KISS ON THE FIRST DATE THEN WHAT WILL HAPPEN ON THE SECOND DATE THEY ARE GONNA EXPECT MORE THAT JUST A KISS FROM YOU. THINK ABOUT IT

No, I don't think it's right because I think you should save your 1st kiss when you are getting married. Because if you kiss on all of your dates it's just like whoring around except with kisses.

If you think that the other person feel the same, I'd say go for it. Sometimes people really click and you shouldn't hold back becuase of kissing etiquette.
With that said, obviously don't push yourself on the person. If they resist, stop. If they feel like they want more go. You should (operative word being should) be able to tell...

Yes, even complete strangers can start making out if they both feel the need. Kissing is supposed to be a good thing.

Your first kiss is the most memorable so the timing has to be just right. Chris Rock compares it to double dutch jump rope. It's hard to figure out when to jump in.
