Yes, being patriotic is part of the Christian life. We are told to honor authority and to pray for our leaders. It is God who sets up leaders and God who takes them down.

I believe God wants us to honor those in authority over us and pray for them. I also believe that God founded and ordained America for the purpose of furthering the gospel and that His people could experience the freedom that He had planned for them. I am patriotic because I believe in the goal and destiny that this country was called to and for. I can't speak for other countries but I believe this is true for me and for America. I am an Air Force Veteran and that has enhanced my convictions about patriotism. Ever since I was little I would cry when I heard and sang the National Anthem and God Bless America. I guess I have always had a patriotic spirit and I am grateful to God for what He has provided for us.

The law of God is absolute above all nations, kingdoms etc. if your faith follows the dictation of the Bible, not what some neo-Con wanna be politician evangelilcal preacher tells you.
Of course, the law of God, as Christians know it, is 50% the law of ancient tribal middle eastern dudes, and 50% what Emperor Constantine thought was best for running the Holy Roman Empire. Not exactly comtemporary stuff.

NO.... ones Salvation is not tied to any "love" for ones Nation... God is first... and then Nation... but only God always comes before any other... I would have to put nation before Family in some circumstances... but never any thing or any one before God.

Our loyalty belongs to God first. We are to pray for our leaders. However with the way the "leaders" are going these days I have stopped praying for them. I'm on God's side. I'm praying He comes and singes their axxxs even if I have to burn with it too. Hard to feel patriotic in this day and age.

If it was Pres G Washington or someone with integrity it would feel good to be Patriotic.
If it's someone following the dictates of 'money-changers' that would be a wrong to support.
