I try not to, because I know they are usually made in sweatshops by slave labor or underpaid labor. Also, we need to support our U.S. economy by buying American made products instead of supporting communist China. Since you asked this in the Religion & Spirituality section, I will add that I, as a Christian, try to avoid buying products that are made by oppressing God's people.

Yes--there are so many everyday things people buy that are made in China. I would bet if you looked around your house 75% of your things are made in China.

Not after the plastic-handle, metal spoons I bought began to desintegrate days after having bought them, dangerously loosing a piece between both parts!!! And after my small umbrella's many metal parts became completely undone less than a week after purchase...
Well, unfortunately I still have had to buy things here and there, such as a much larger umbrella, which thankfully hasn't fallen apart yet! Why? Well because how can a $15+ umbrella compete in price with a $5.00 one?!!!

It is a great thing that they are going to a market economy, but they have yet to get their quality control up where it should be. So I examine very carefully what I am going to buy if it comes from China.

Never, unless it's an under lisenced of a reputable brand .
Their goods sure are cheap when you pay it, but its actually very expensive if you think abt it. Does the country or any countriy have enough space of land for the rubbish to dump their products? Remember, they dont last and mostly cant be recycled. I hope people think abt the rubbish dumps for those junks.

Sure am. It's a bit impossible not to. I have enough things to think about; whether an item came from China or not is not one of them.

NO, all things should be boycotted that are harming the economy and job rate here. If our so-called 'Reps' won't do anything positive we can still have an effect.

Yes because I have not found any Amish folks that specialize in making electronics.
(I decided to make this a little more religion oriented)
