I have had about enough of people telling me that I'm going to hell because of this or that! Isn't it so damn convenient that you Christians are perfect! I am just so sick of people forcing beliefs on others.
So....
What makes you so damn sure yours is the "right religion" anyway? You never hear of people trying to convert Christians into non-belief, just because they think its wrong to be Christian? Why do you all feel the need to preach when those who believe are most likely already Christian? Is there like a monthly converting quota to hit or something? And most importantly why do so many "Christians" show so much hate all of the time? What ever happened to love thy neighbor?
What makes you holier than thou?

By the way.....
I am definitely not trying to push disbelief onto you Christians! What most of you call sharing is usually not....in my experience, when someone asks me about Christianity, or Jesus, and I tell them I am not interested in becoming Christian, they just can't seem to drop the issue!
Again I pose the question to all of you who claim to know the "Truth", how do you know yours is the right religion? Because you feel it in heart? What about the millions of others who feel in their heart the "Truth" of Islam, or Buddhism, or whatever their faith is?
I do believe in something greater than myself! I do not claim to know what it is! I have always struggled with blind faith! This question was not meant to offend anyone! I am just trying to gain a better understanding!
Thank you all for your input!

I consider myself a Christian, and I agree with you for the most part. I also cannot stand those that shove their beliefs into my face. The worst are the Mormons and Jehova's Witnesses. They seem to think that theirs is the ony way to worship, and have no qualms about coming to your door and teling you this.
I personally enjoy sitting down calmly and having a conversation with someone about religion and its role in shaping the world we live in. I have never and will never try to force someone to my point of view, or convert them in any way. I feel that's one of the sinlge most basic flaws with any society today, is the inability of most people to simply sit down and talk TO one another, instead of AT one another.

What ever happened to love thy neighbor? - That is why I tell you about Jesus, because I love my neighbor!
You never hear of people trying to convert Christians into non-belief, just because they think its wrong to be Christian? - all the time!
Why do you all feel the need to preach when those who believe are most likely already Christian? - when I tell people about Jesus, I ask them first if they know about him and if they are saved.
And most importantly why do so many "Christians" show so much hate all of the time? - I don't hate anyone, if I did I would be selfish and keep the truth to myself
Is there like a monthly converting quota to hit or something? - no
I am not perfect nor do I claim to be - I am not holier than thou, I just want to tell people because I love them!
Don't you tell your child right from wrong because you love them or you just want to be mean?

The reason christians feel it necessary to share their faith is because eternity is at stake. Whether a person believes in Jesus or not it's heaven or hell. No in between. Because of the love of Jesus he has made it possible for everyone to go to heaven, accepting him as Savior is all it takes. Just as in any other organizations some claim christianity but are not christians and do not display christian values. True christians don't hate sinners although they can't condone the sin. It's not a holier than thou attitude. We are all sinners who are only saved through the grace, mercy and blood of Jesus. Also yes I have heard of other people trying to convert people away from faith in Jesus. It happens all the time. Probably the reason you are so offended is because of conviction working on your heart to bring you to salvation through Jesus.

What you call "pushing" may just be "sharing." Either way, Evangelism is one of the core beliefs of Christianity. Christ's last commandment to His disciples before ascending into Heaven was "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."
So basically, once we are Saved, we are called to share the Salvation experience, and let everyone know of God's plan for the Salvation of the whole world.
Romans 10:14 says "How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?"
No Christian should ever teach that he or she is any "better" than anyone else - "for all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God." Arrogance is also a sin, unfortunately, and many a Christian believes themselves better. We're not. We are, however, forgiven.
Tell me something. If you believed that you held the "Truth" in your heart, and that all those who didn't believe the "Truth" were going to suffer an eternal punishment, would you consider it "moral" to remain silent?
And if in the end, it turns out we Christians are right, how cheated would you feel if you arrived at Heaven's doorstep only to be turned away not because you rejected Christ, but because no one ever told you about Him?
This isn't about Fairness, people. God never said life was "fair," and I'm sure nobody actually believes life is fair. This is about reality.
Although I do agree with you in one respect. Sometimes in their eagerness to share and save, some Christians go overboard. I, myself, agree with Ravi Zacharias : "If a starving man refuses food from my table, I should not choke him with it."

There are many muslims who actively evangelise christians. Jehovah's Witness are much more active than fundamental christians in proselytising. In Asia, we have the buddhists getting into the act too. When communism was on the rise, they 'converted' millions into their belief system. So why do you just refer to only christians? BTW, I know a lot of herbalife people who are more than aggressive doing the same thing.
Everybody who chose their own beliefs are going to be passionate about it... so you just have to live with the fact there will always be people who want to share their 'good news' religious or not. You can however, choose how you respond.

In order for someone to push a person belief about Christainaity, that person has to be vulable to said we have pushed something over on you, No one can push anything on you unless YOU & You only let that person. In my 37 yrs as a Christian, I have had about every kind of ideals I listern to, but i never accepted any of them, Why not, Because I would not let nothing but Truth come my way. Now you say that you don't see non-christain trying to make a Christian to once again become a non beleiver, I have, & you are an example as one of them, But i do not let anyone sway me that easily. Now go & settle yourself down before you have a hissy fit again.

I can't believe people have said that to you. Christians who are not Catholic don't know how to lead a christian life. A catholic would never tell you that you are going to go to hell, not a practicing catholic. Other christians mean well though, we are suppose to spread the word, (the good news). I guess they are trying to help you, yet at the same time they are judging you. It's wrong of anyone to tell you, that you're going to hell. Tell them you're catholic maybe they'll leave you alone.

I don't find it necessary, why do others get offended if the subject is brought up and I suddenly become the enemy once the info is found out? I am still the same person and never forced it before.

Complete strangers have the right to hear the Gospel
By warning you about hell, I am not showing hate, but love for you by taking my time to warn you about this danger. I have a lot of better things to do, but I care about your eternal soul and don't want you to go to hell.. Very simple.. Not hate or arrogance, we are just right and know it.
**Atheists try every day to convince Christians that they should leave Christianity.
