whom did I hear it from?

For years, maybe decades my household was visited by different members of Jehovah's Witnesses, both in my native country and in two states in the USA. It was through them we got to know and read a lot of the Bible. My mom, and then later us, would buy whatever books and the two types of magazines they always brought with them. At times they were simply gifts, at least many years ago. But now everything I thought I had learned from them, it's told me it isn't the case.

Is it just me being confused completely, or anyone else hear from them, that there were Antichrists_whether one or many, I can't recall_and that only one ruler would rule the world. That there'd be only one monetary unit. And that whomever didn't have mark of the beast would not survive easily?

Most famous thing they use to say was something similar to what's in many other people's mouth nowadays: "A new world order". No one heard this before?

Just two double-check I'll be contacting my sibling about it, since many of things I don't remember he does completely well, as if it had just happened.

Perhaps the questioner misunderstood what Jehovah's Witnesses actually taught.

Antichrists (or "the antichrist [class]") are humans; Jehovah's Witnesses have never understood that any human would "rule the world". Of course, the bible itself refers to Satan as 'the ruler of the world', but Satan is not the antichrist (as the term is used in the bible).
...(John 12:31) Now there is a judging of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.
...(John 16:11) then concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.

In the 1950's, Jehovah's Witnesses sometimes referred to the population of the coming paradise earth as the "new world society", but that usage has nothing to do with secular human government.

"New world order" is an interesting term. Actually, it is derived from a biblical expression. Jesus and Paul both referred to an old system, the present one in which we live under, and the system which is to come. The original word translated as "system(s) of things" literally means "order." So, a new world order is literally what the Bible foretells will come about as the result of coming of Christ's kingdom.

But, the expression "New World Order," as first popularized in the mainstream by President George Bush, Sr., back during the first Gulf War, had reference to a new political arrangement. Back then, most people understood President Bush's use of the term in relation to the end of the Cold War superpower standoff between the USSR and the US, and the revival of the UN as an international peace-keeping agency.

However, since the UN was created it has been the intention of some to eventually empower that organization as a world government for the purpose of subverting the sovereignty of the independent nation-states, and thereby implementing an all-powerful global empire; a supranational communist/fascist state.

The Devil once boasted to Christ that the authority and glory of all the nations had been delivered to him and to whomever he wished he gave it. However, not surprisingly, the Devil was not telling the entire truth of the matter. While the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one, Jehovah has by no means abdicated his own authority.

The book of Daniel makes it apparent that God is still the ultimate ruler of the world. After king Nebuchadnezzar was humiliated, he glorified Jehovah by saying: "His rulership is a rulership to time indefinite and his kingdom is for generation after generation. And all the inhabitants of the earth are considered as merely nothing, and he is doing according to his own will among the army of the heavens and the inhabitants of the earth. And there exists no one that can check his hand..."

Prefacing the detailed prophecy of the king of the north and south, at Daniel 11:1 the enlightening angel told Daniel: "And as for me, in the first year of Darius the Mede I stood up as a strengthener and as a fortress to him. And now what is truth I shall tell you."

Given the fact that the Persians had just overthrown the Babylonian kingdom, Gabriel's comments recorded in the Bible indicate that Jehovah at times supports certain of Satan's earthly governments while overthrowing others-- according to his will—not Satan's.

Proverbs 21:1 says: "A king's heart is as streams of water in the hand of Jehovah. Everywhere that he delights to, he turns it." This means that Jehovah can use earthly rulers to benefit his people, whether the earthly king is even aware of it or not. Paul similarly told Christians to pray for those in high station in order that God's people may live in peace. No doubt we are much more indebted to Jehovah's goodness than we can possibly realize.

In light of the fact that Jehovah is the ultimate ruler, it is apparent that it has suited Jehovah's purpose to send his angelic strengtheners to bless and protect the establishment of the democratic, free nations in our modern world. Such systems of government have unquestionably served as a buffer against the outright tyranny inherent in imperial rule and it has allowed Jehovah's work to progress relatively unhindered. But, given animalistic human nature and demonic influence, there is always a strong undercurrent to revert to tyranny.

We might consider the question, though, as to what happens to the so-called free nations and their institutions when once God's purpose is realized concerning them?

In a word they are destroyed. Once God's kingdom comes and the Lord Jesus is ready to commence ruling the world there is no longer any reason for Jehovah's angel to strengthen existing governments, which will by then stand in opposition to Jehovah's duly appointed king. At that time Jehovah will allow Satan to have full sway over the earth in order to marshal his forces into outright war and bring about the final ultra-violent confrontation between the Devil's empire and Christ's kingdom.

That's what the so-called New World Order is all about.

It is not a new world order.
It is a New World with God's Kingdom ruling. A new society of righteous people.
Daniel 2:44, it will never be brought to ruin, an everlasting one.

It sounds like you heard something, from someone. However what you mention doesn't sound exactly like it is from a Witness. As you say it's been decades it may be you are simply fuzzy on the details.

the JW's except donations but never force people to pay.
a new world order could just be that person being funny when talking about God's new world.
I hope what you have heard hasn't soured you on God.

The word Christ comes from the greek word christos, meaning anointed, and is equivalent to the word moshiach, or messiah, in hebrew. So Christ means anointed one of god, and kings, priests and sometimes prophets were anointed, though the term most often applied to kings (they were anointed for their coronation). Before Jesus all kings in the davidic line were called messiah, or messiah-ben-David so Christ translates into a male-sperm lineal descendant of King David who is anointed.

1 John 2:22 --"Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son."

So John calls those who deny that Jesus is Christ,(thereby denying his lineage to David through Joseph) liars and anti-christs.

1 John 2:18: "Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come, they went out from us but were not of us."

1 John 4:2 "Every spirit which confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God and every spirit which does not confess is not of God. This is the spirit of antichrist, of which you have heard that it was coming, and now (90 AD) it is in the world already."

Nostrodamus, a christian and firm believer in God, prayed to God for a glimpse of the promised future kingdom and supposedly saw 3 major antichrists who would preface the final kingdom, antichrists who would challenge the lineage of David and take peace from the whole earth. Napoleon was the first, Hitler the second (though he predicted Hister) and the third is supposedly HANDS (check the uhj site for more info) who would come after the death of Mabus, which some believe is Sudam (saddam) and that there will be a 27 year war after Mabus death. (Not exactly gospel, but interesting nonetheless

As for those without the mark not surviving, those with the mark will blame the ills associated with on those without, striking out at and destroying them.

John 15:18-21
If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, "A servant is not greater than his master." If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. But all these things they will do to you for My name's sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me.

Phillipians 1:27-30
Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel, and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God. For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake, having the same conflict which you saw in me and now hear is in me.

and finally
Matthew 24:9-13
Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

Sorry for the length, but I hope I was able to help.

The JW's are correct on many issues. They are wrong however, on one that is a matter of life and death- eternally.
They deny the deity of Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself said " Unless you believethat I am He ( God) you will die in your sins.
