You don't say why you need to gain weight or what your current height/weight/BMI is, but being healthy is not just about weight. Eating unhealthy foods can still affect you even if you remain skinny. For example, saturated fats can increase bad cholesterol and set you up for heart problems later in life. Thus, even though you're trying to gain weight, you still need to eat healthily:

- Exercise will make you hungry. If you do lots of muscle-building exercise, it will have the double-benefit of keeping you toned but - as muscles weigh more - helping you gain.
- You should still avoid junk food. Although it invariably has lots of calories, it also has lots of saturated fats and salt, both of which are unhealthy whether or not they help you put on weight.
- Eat plenty of healthy, high protein foods (lean meat, fish or beans). Together with exercise, they will help you build muscle mass. Consider a high protein energy bar like "Pure Protein" or a protein drink.
- Eat good carbs like wholewheat breads, rice and pastas.
- Eat lots and lots of fruit and vegetables.
- Enjoy yourself.

Just keep eating. Eat 6 meals a day, spread throughout the day at least 2-3 hours apart. If you want, you can take meal replacements, or protein shakes to boost weight gain. Increase water intake. What I do usually is drink a gallon a day.

Don't forget to workout too. If you just eat and sit around, you'll transform those calories into fat. Do short, but intense workouts. I recommend squats, deadlifts and bench presses. They target most of the major muscle groups. Don't forget you need to break down muscle, in order to build muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat.

Final thoughts. Eat, eat and eat more calories than you burn. 6 meals a day. More water. Feel free to use protein shakes and weight gaining shakes. Workout to build muscle. Hope that helps.
