I personally do not use soft claws on my cat, but I have applied them to many cats and their owners seem to be satisfied with the product. It's basically a soft plastic tip that covers the claw and is applied with a pet safe nail glue. If you can't trim your cat's claws on a regular basis, I defiantly recommend using soft paws. You can buy them over the counter or get them applied at your vets office if you're having trouble doing it on your own. It's also wise to keep a couple extra tips on hand just in case they fall off. They should last a few weeks and you'll need to get them replaced every so often.

I wouldn't use them. Most cats would be able to take them off easily anyway and I think its cruel. If the only alternative u r considering is to de-claw then use the soft paws. De-clawing makes many cats unhappy

I have scorned this subject for so long so I decided to get a set for £30 about $60.
I and my daughter had to go to hospital because of the injuries. she needed a tetanus I however did not but ended up with antibiotics because I have MS and my immune system is rubbish.
We got one paws worth on our Gingie the most soft and cuddly of our 5 cats. I found them in the bath.
why the bath I don't know. but we tried with one of our youngest cats at 9 months old and just the smell of the glue..................
Invisible cats.
I spoke to my vet and she told me that to put these things on a cat they need to be sedated and they are like false nails on a human they can be tolerated and renewed when needed or the cat will CHEW them off and cause themselves pain.
so you have a choice.
Cut your cats toes off..OR...
let them chew them off.
get a fish.

I have used them quite a bit. They don't stay on very long, but my cat doesn't seem to mind.
