I have heard/read so many times that agnostics are agnostic because they want to "play it safe" with the big guy...God!
Yet surely those who state this know full well that with most religions getting into heaven requires more that just sheer belief.
So I am wondering from all the experts is if I play it safe and supposly don't believe yet am too afraid of God to admit that; should I also pray on a part time basis (or at least pretend to).
I want to make sure I am "safe" ya know. :)
Thanks for your enlighted answers! Have a great day.

You are not agnostic; you are a poser, trying to make a funny, and all I did was laugh at you.

agnostics are not fence-sitters; they merely dispassionately regard the existence of an anthropic god as arbitrary.

There is no fear...

thats stupid.

im agnostic because i believe you cannot know for sure whether god exists or not.

its not an issue of playing safe, its an issue of my belief.

i dont believe you can know.

but as for your question. which god do you wish to pray to "just in case"? or are you going to pray to a different god each day?

Of Atheists, Believers and Agnostic, Agnostics are the most realistic of the three.

Atheists say they know there is no god.

Believers say they know there is a god.

Both of the above groups rely on 'faith' to support those positions (man the Atheists hate it when I say that...).

Agnostics say that all they can honestly know... is that they don't know.

And deep down that is probably true of all of us.

but which god?

I recommend Isis. She's not going to threaten you with torment if you actually have the unmitigrated gall to use your brain.
