it is technically thou shalt not MURDER. there's a difference. God gave the 10 commandments which included the "thou shalt not murder" command and he also 40 years later sent his people to war against those nations that occupied the promised land so as to ride this God given land to the Jews.

There is also a difference between physical war such as what is going on in Iraq right now and the spiritual war that Christians contend with each and every day, it is a war against the sinful fleshly desires that we have a wrestling with to try to fight off the temptation of sin.

We are living in a spiritual war of good vs evil. It says marching as to war. We are to put on the full armour of God daily to fight that which cannot be seen. We are to kill the advances of the devil and his lying demons who are roaming the earth seeking to devour and destroy those who are commited to and love God. Yes, my friend, onward christian soldiers are suited up for battle.

Is war a offense to you? Will it is a part of life. You may think it is not Biblical. But there were many wars because of fear and power. You think you can shake a persons hand when they are trying to kill you? God is the one that protects, yet we must pray for our soldiers and ask God to watch over them. God knows us and he knows them. So we are commanded to pray. Stop condemning. God got this....

it means marching to where you are going (ie heaven) with conviction, standing up for what you believe in, not in the literal sense of going to iraq and blowing people up or the other way around
