hmm that is interesting and deep with the unborn baby thing. Kind of like when I go to sleep and dream or have a seemingly dreamless black sleep: am I aware and do I have a consciousness (not just active subconscious) while I am dreaming. Also the energy idea was interesting. That matter or energy we can not really destroy but it can be converted or changed into something else, like water changing shape depending on the container or turning into ice or steam.

The assumption that consciousness ends with the death of the body is something to investigate.
I have and found that the death of the body is not the end of consciousness.

Yes, definitely. Mystic.
Could a child in the womb right before birth even imagine the world outside the womb? The next stage is just as difficult for most mortals to grasp.

No! Bible says that we know nothing when we're dead.
Ecclesiastes 9
5 For the living know that they will die,
but the dead know nothing;
they have no further reward,
and even the memory of them is forgotten.
6 Their love, their hate
and their jealousy have long since vanished;
never again will they have a part
in anything that happens under the sun.
7 Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for it is now that God favors what you do. 8 Always be clothed in white, and always anoint your head with oil. 9 Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love, all the days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun— all your meaningless days. For this is your lot in life and in your toilsome labor under the sun. 10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.

yes, a life after this one. i believe our conciousness will continue after this life. we are beings of energy. when energy is given off (we die) that energy is not destroyed but changes into a different state (spiritual body immortal). what the next life is, no one knows except the dead and they are not talking, except to John Edwards and then he charges money to tell you, sort of like an evangelist bringing the weekly prophesy.
