My sister in law's church does. I think it's just another way greedy churches with greedy pastors remind you that all they care about is how much you put in the offering plate.
I'm not insinuating all churches are like that. I know that's not the case. But her church runs like a high school popularity contest in regards to how much $ its members have.

You're talking about the 'church' or the 'church building'? A building's a building that's got to be used someway or another especially in countries where space is precious. Alot of churches meet only on weekends so space is really wasted if not used.
I suppose the megachurch owns the building and they don't actually meet in the public area of this building. 'Cos if they do then they've really turning the 'house of God' into a marketplace. But if not, there's still the level of sanctity and separateness maintained.
We all have reservations about churches turn corporations and starts profit turning. But if a church has to depend on its members for it's running expenses which can get pretty high, the average church goer is going to feel the burden very very heavily. I don't have a problem with churches who rent out their building space for income as long as the money is put to good use, e.g. goes into helping the needy on the homefront or overseas.

I feel a little leery of churches with so many members. I really can't judge if they are being fed, however...I've heard they break up into little groups within the church, so they do have some close fellowship within these groups..
I feel it is wrong when your pastor becomes a celebrity like a rock star...but like I said,,,,if we haven't attended one,,,we can't judge...I am 100 percent sure, that the ATMs and vendors are wrong..What church is this that has these? I would love to know..

Excellent question! I think that Jesus would probably throw a hissy fit if he were to walk into one of the megachurches. There's a difference between merely taking tithes to keep a church up and running and making a church into a cash cow!

Absolutely not. Megachurches are bad enough without the moneychangers getting in on the act. I had a serious problem with my church giving out Playstation 2's and mountain bikes to the kids who brought the most new kids to kids church and vacation Bible school; that's just as bad as having ATM's in church. What are we there for, to worship or to wor-shop?

No, but I'd not belong to any mega church.
Jesus threw the marketers out of the temple. I doubt that this would be a really "christian" thing to do, but most mega churches aren't concerned with anything but more money, so they can remain mega...

No! but I might attend just to see if I could find a mate from my tribe.
Wait! Also, if they had a really great worship service, but I would leave right after that and go have a cup of coffee. Then I would come back and mingle or go have lunch with the others to see if I could start some meaningful conversations about walking in faith.
But that's me.

Vendors? No. Jesus didn't like how the temple in Jerusalem had turned into a market place, and I wouldn't like it if it happened today. that's not what church is about.

i beleive atms are a public service from banks in spite of the indisputable fact that, in case you truly seem into it, money changers tables were a criminal offense adversarial to God because they were contained in the temple. the living house of the Lord shall no longer be defiled. for this reason the keenness of the lord changed into led to do one of those aspect and scripturally he might want to safeguard it, yet he changed into nonetheless persecuted by technique of the pharisees with pretend witnesses abiding. their sin changed into homicide and pretend witness. God required animal sacrifice and persons of all international locations needed money changers as a thanks to by technique of the animals. God commanded adversarial to usury and thats what the pharisees transgressed. usury is not merely pastime and unfair contracts, in spite of the indisputable fact that it changed into also unrighteous oppression on the poor. immediately banks are doing dissimilar evils to get rich, they benefit this with each and every thing starting up with mortages and derivitives and foreclosure then they bypass to student loans and inflate criminally what's owed and bigger pastimes then they bypass to lobbying for monopolies. an analogous issues the pharisees were to blame of with their money replacing tables. now Mega churches have their personal missions. even jesus reported to his disciple dont quit them. (that were preaching an analogous issues as he changed into) the version is jesus reported they have their personal rewards. and they carry forth the gospel (the position they're going to be judged is in the journey that they carry forth an apostate gospel which has the whisperings of devil or no longer) i might want to assert some more advantageous issues yet in the present day my thoughts is going clean, i will likely say them contained in the destiny.

No. Jesus made a pretty clear point of clearing the Temple of the money changers and vendors.
