I know Bowyer is only 111 points behind. But the chances of both HMS cars having trouble in the next three races and Bowyer running well enough to beat the best of the two are real slim!
This would be a nice way for Nascar and the fans to congratulate HMS for a year of complete domination!
If not the checkered then maybe the green?
Enjoy!!

I am an HMS fan, but somehow that would stink of favortism and be something for the HMS haters to have a field day over. In other words, it would not be in the best interest of NASCAR. I would have to go with "no" on this one.

I have nothing against Rick Hendrick at all, I've met the guy, he is a very nice man.. But not sure if this is the proper thing to do, what would the other team owners think of this, not sure if they would appreciate this, you can look at this several ways, yes his guy won the championship last yr and he is waving the checkered flag to this yrs winner.. If this is something Nascar is going to start and do it every year, okay..But it just doesn't seem right...

I would not mind, but I doubt Rick would do such a thing. Rick is a very humble guy despite all he has accomplished. I am sure he would rather be in victory lane with Jeff or Jimmie celebrating the championship.

As much as I dislike the guy and his driver's I think it would be an ok thing to do. No matter how much you hate HM you have to give them credit because I haven't seen domiation like this since the king was racing

He wouldn't be the first current car owner to do it, Dan Marino did it at Daytona when he owned the 13 car driven by Jerry NaDeau (not sure about spelling)

Have the honor auctioned off with a spot in the infield. All the winnings from the auction can go to Cali fire victims or to the wounded warriors foundation! This would be a great way to get some $$ and no one would have a way to complain...Well people would still complain! ;->

Would that not allow for more conspiracy accusations that NASCAR favors the Hendrick teams?
