Such a typical question but to answer this: It will last as long as the both of you realize that sex is not the only perk in having a relationship. She may not want to. find out the reson why. she just may not feel that deeply for you yet, who knows. But if wondering how long a relationship is going to last w/o sex is the only thing on your mind, then the relationship itself is not going to last long at all. I hope that answered your question...

I'm testing those waters now. He is going back to Iraq in a few months and is doing training out of state so I have no other choice. I could fool around but then Im wrong. May as well get used to no sex until 2009. Ive went without sex for at least a year a few times. Its a major factor but it isnt everything. Maybe the other person isnt ready and dont want it to be based on ust that. It can complicates things.

I've been single for over 20 years because I decided a relationship is more important than sex. I've had sex a few times in that 20 year period but both relationships ended up bad. I'm going to stay sex free until I die if I can't find someone who wants a relationship over sex. For me it is much more fulfilling to have someone love me for who I am rather than being someone's sex object.

Quite honestly Jay, sex is an integral part of relationships for me and I could not go very long without physical contact.
Perhaps if both people involved were virgins it could work, but anyone who has dipped their toes and tested the waters would find it hard to manage.
I would not date someone who is abstinent.

As long as you want. Sex is not required for a relationship to work. Are you not wanting to have sex or is she? If it is her and you have the urge then it may be difficult and you may find its not worth it. But if its you or both of you then go with it - there is not a timetable - its all up to you two.

As long as it takes to court her. You can have inimacy with out sex. Find more creative things to do with your time together. And if this person is who you are ment to be with when u get married sex will be a totally different experience. you will know you trully love this person and that this person loves you. And know one else in this world will ever experience what you are doing with your husband/wife its a beautiful thing.

My girlfriend and I have been going out for 4 years and it took us almost 2 years to start having sex. Now it happens almost every time we get the chance. I can barely last a week w/o it.. but hey.. lol

It's really really hard NOT to have sex in a relationship if your attracted to each other. I tried it but it didn't last long, only 4 mths and we couldn't wait any more.

I think that depends on the person. Some people refuse to have sex until they are married. Other people thrive on sex and can't go without it.
