Monster,

You are going to surprise yourself with how resilient and capable you are and will become. But, there is one especially important factor that will make all the difference in the world. It is the factor that takes you from the life of a child into the life of an adult. People who never embrace this one factor are still children, some are really old children. But, they and you will remain children until they and you lean to accept responsibility for your life. That is the key.

When you embrace responsibility for your life, for everything that happens to you and how you respond that is when you become an adult. And, that is when you will learn just how powerful you are to take care of your own needs and the needs of others. I promise you that if you will take responsibility, then you will find a way to deal with whatever life throws your way. You do not need to be afraid of the unknown. People just like you, with even less ability than you, have been doing this for thousands of years. You can do it, too ...if you are willing to accept the full and complete responsibility.

All the best.

Every 18 year old feels this way... I know I did. But life is a challenge and if you are up to the challenge you can have a good life. Most of life is about heart and desire, get a fire in your heart and see where it leads. Good Luck and dont feel overwhelmed ... This too shall pass.

I'm glad that you realize it. So many young people take everything for granted. I'm 29, married, have one daughter, and a baby on the way and I still don't know how we make it from day to day. Some days are great and others are horrible. It's life!

I thought the same thing, and now that I'm a mom, I REALLY appreciate all my mom and dad did for me. ( I came from a family of 4)

Just keep your head on straight and do what's right. Things do get better when you're a little older. Sounds like you had a good start. : )

Good luck!

It sounds like your parents did a good job if you didn't have a clue as to how they did it. You must never had to hear about money problems. Sounds like a good life. You have a pretty good start so enjoy it!

You will get through it. Everyone goes through this at one point in time or another. Life is one big ole test. You can do this. There are resources available to you if you need help with bills or groceries, use them. That is what they are there for.

Life is hard, and I know that it wasnt easy for your parents. But I do know what made it a little easier. As a mom myself, we no longer do things for ourselves, we do it for our children. They are our inspirations to keep going.
